What will you/did you do for LOs actual birthday

While I am sure there will be plenty of birthday parties, odds would strongly suggest that most of our LOs birthdays are going to fall on a workday and most of us will have parties on the weekend, so......

This year LOs birthday falls on a Thursday and both DH and I are off. We have pushed around the idea of going to the zoo or aquarium ect that day, but it just doesn't feel right to me.  Part of me thinks it is because he was born early afternoon, and I feel like I will just be watching the clock until it ticks 12:08pm, and then I will probably sob like a crazy person and am afraid I will become more of an exhibit then the animals. 

So what is everyone doing on LOs actual birthday?

    C's is also on a Thursday. My mom and sister are planning on coming that week and sleeping over. We're going to our local pool and then to the zoo. Her birthday weekend we're going to Sesame Place and having a family party at my mother in laws.

    Hudson's birthday is on a Sunday this year. In the morning we will get up and snap some photos of him with his big brother & big sister (step kids) before they go off on a summer vacation with their bio mom. The rest of the day we will probably play around the house with some new toys and swim. His birthday party will be the day before, So I am sure we will have new goodies to play with and keep ourselves busy.

    Grayson's birthday is on a Saturday so we are having his party that same day. We're having the party from 2-4 so we will go set up around noon and he'll get to hang out with grandma while my SO and I are setting everything up. He was born at 8:02 pm so I will get to hold him and shed a few tears because all the party festivities will be done by then. My SO will be off that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday so we might try to do something just the 3 of us Sunday or Monday.

    Maybe a little cupcake or treat.  I want to save her having a candle until her actual birthday.  Nothing really special because I work 9a-6p and probably won't be home until closer to 7p.  I do want to make the day special for her, though.  I'll probably make sure she has a gift to open and things.

    LO's birthday is actually the day of his party, June 21st. Usually we just do cupcakes if their birthday is during the week.

    Her bday is a Wed. Her party is the Saturday before. I think I will be starting a new job so I will work and we will come home and eat dinner and have a small present. Just simple

    Js is on a Friday so we will probably get dinner together somewhere nice, maybe get the waiters to sing to her

    His birthday is on a Wednesday, so my husband will be at work. We'll probably just have a little cake smash and open presents. He'll have his parties the weekend before and after.

    We'll be on vacation on his actual birthday so he'll hopefully be having lots of fun.  For Aiden, his first and second birthdays were on weekdays and we took the day off.  First haircut and the children's museum the first year and the zoo the second year.  Last year we had his party on his actual birthday (Saturday).  We like the idea of taking a day just for them each year until they start school :)

    This sounds dumb, but he looooves this mexican restaurant nearby that makes guac at the table (sorry @nykkolaughs) they bring him an extra avocado!! Between that and the refried beans, I'm pretty sure they know us well enough they will bring him a birthday churro or something :)

    I took the day off work to spend with him, I was thinking maybe we'd go to the beach.
