Genetic counseling with EI?

My son has T21, diagnosed prenatally with an amnio. Is there any point to taking up the free genetic counseling offered through BabyNet? His early interventionist offered it today but I couldn't think of a reason since his chromosomal abnormality is known.

    She didn't give me any benefit only that it was available and they are required to offer. We did genetic counseling while I was pregnant and know he has typical T21 and not translocated which is the genetic one. I really can't think of any reason in our situation I just wanted to double check before refusing a free service! Thanks!
