June 2014 Moms

Merde (that's "Shit" in French...)

I went from going comfortably just about every day to going uncomfortably every two or three days.  I hate it.  Nothing has changed in my eating or medication habits, so I'm not sure why the change.  Ah well.  I also hate those days when I wake up with cramps and can't tell if they are poop or ute related.  Lovely.

Also, the hemis are so bad, and nothing is helping, so I'm ignoring them.  They only bother me while in the act of pooping, so, I dunno, whatever...

I just took Colace this morning after going over a week with no success. My usual is once a week, but as soon as I go over that mark I start having contractions and cramps. I am never going to know when it's go time, because I going to chalk it up to constipation.

I have probiotics sitting in my fridge that my sister swears by, so I'm hoping that when I start taking them, after baby, things will ge better.

Also, screw hemmorhoids. I have had then off an on every couple of weeks the entire pregnancy. As if there aren't already enough pains and side effects to deal with!

This same exact thing happened to me when I was in my last month with DD - all of a sudden you hit a brick wall (no pun intended) and you just get backed up. I've been trying to keep up with Colace and drink a ton of water, but sometimes nothing helps. It was by far the worst part of being pregnant with DD!

And yes, last week I commented to my mom that luckily I haven't had that issue with pregnancy, and then I jinxed myself :(

  • Yesterday I finally had more than rabbit droppings, but it was completely black and seemed sticky/ tarry. I've been on iron for two months, so I don't think that's it. Can't wait to bring up my shitting issues at my dr appt tomorrow.
  • @mrskbanister why can't you take probiotics now?

  • I've been having issues with only going 2 or 3 times a week for a while and having horrible cramps and hemorrhoids, but I recently made a lot of banana bread filled with probiotics and I've been so regular all week and not having any pain! I'll have to make banana bread every week now!
  • My LB! Everything I've tried does nothing more than facilitate horrible gas supplement wise. I eat 6 prunes per day and drink one cup of coffee first thing in the morning and it helps me go enough each day to be able to walk normally but once per week I get in awful shape. What I think is possible labor (excessive cramps and contractions) is actually the prelude to awful diarrhea. Lord only knows what will happen when actual labor hits! Hemorrhoids haven't appeared again (yet!) But I wont be surprised if they haunt me again soon. :/

  • I have IBS so I shit all the time but for the last week i can't poop! i have been haying the horrible craps too and don't know if its going to end up being ute cramps or like I need to try and poop. With both my last babies right before I went into labor I got the shits and I thought I was getting close being 37 weeks and dilated so far but I guess I was wrong...this shit sucks!

I have never taken them before, so I figured I would wait until the baby is here, just in case. I am not a huge medicine person to begin with, so it is really just more of a precaution to wait until after the baby is here.
