Today is our 3 year wedding anniversary. We like to vacation for our anniversary, so this year we are doing something very low key. We are taking Isla on our first vacation as a family of 3 and going to Cape Cod for 3 nights!
@CruiseGirl28 aw, yay CapeCod!! I got married in the Cape! What part are you visiting? Just curious Happy anniversary!!!!
Camden is finally sleeping long chunks through the night. Each night has been progressively longer...started at the usual 3hrs, then 6, 7, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, then almost 9 last night!!! We started doing a tubby every night, followed by a bottle, then he's passed out and slept straight through. I'm overjoyed!!!!!
....thaaaaank god!
Oh and Camden is 3months old...what the crap! I can't believe how fast it's going! He's such a busy boy!! I should be starting work back up but I'm taking the rest of the school year off! September can take as long as it wants!
It's our 6 year wedding anniversary tomorrow and we are taking the girls to the zoo! Can't wait - DD1 should have a fantastic day! (well, hopefully we all will!) :-)
Yesterday was my birthday and DH surprised me with delicious cupcakes from a local bakery and then he watched LO for the night. I met my BFF for sushi (first time since my BFP!), we finished a bottle of wine together and then went to a Straight No Chaser concert which was actually really good. It was nice to get out of the house and go out!
DD had been sleeping 2 5 hour blocks starting at about 9-10 at night. It's wonderful and I hope it keeps up! Also my brother and his gf are in town until Saturday. It should be a good time!
I have 2... LO was officially dx with silent reflux, a mystery to us all, so we started her on Zantac as of yesterday. I know this is the right thing, as pedi suggested it a month ago, but I was in denial of it. Although I hate having to have her on it, for 3 times a day no less ,it's what's best for her and I can honestly see a happier baby since yesterday. The happy part is, in my heart, I know (hope) she will be better off and finally get some relief! So, this is a mom-win for me! >-
Also, I just swept my entire first floor! I know this sounds lame, but it's been really hard to clean, yes still, 8 wks later. I now feel like I won a race or something. (Small) victory!
Caroline continues to defy the odds and is 7 weeks old today! She is the sweetest baby and we are so lucky to have this time with her. Also, I am getting my hair done this weekend and look forward to the pampering!
My DH and I are celebrating our 6th anniversary on Saturday! 6 years ago, I never imagined being a mother to twins, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
I feel like I'm finally starting to get a routine down with LO. We have had two really good days so far, with lots of naps and much less fussing! I have three weeks until I have to go back to work, and I"m just really wanting to have things consistant as possible when my grandma starts to watch her. I'm really hoping this sticks!
I'm excited because I ordered my teen daughter a bunch of new summer clothes and accessories. I did it on a whim a couple nights ago and didn't tell her. She is gonna freak out! It's soooo much fun shopping for her, I definitely enjoy it more than shopping for any other kid of mine. She is a little fashionista diva. She won't be expecting it because I already bought her like $300 in summer clothes a few weeks ago. Dressing like a modern hippy is in again this year, so it's all kinds of stuff like that, which makes it even more fun. I may or may not be living vicariously through her.
This will be me. Actually it already is me. I love shopping and picking out outfits for Isla.
My H knows I'm near my breaking point with DD crying all the time from possible reflux and DS being a brat all the time because he's entering his terrible 3s, so he told me I should go out for a little bit tonight. He's awesome.
The sun is finally out and the wind isn't blowing! Baby girl is sleeping in the shade and I'm trying to soak up some sun! I've got a lake vacation coming up Father's Day weekend and I've gotta get prepped! If you can't tone it, tan it!
@kderoy I'm so happy she's still beating the odds! What a little rockstar!
The twins each only woke up once last night (at 4:00 and 5:00) so I got my best sleep in months! Plus all three kids are napping right now, so I'm in a moment of mommy bliss. It's quiet in my house!!
1. The weather has cooperated enough in the morning for me to take Scarlett to the park for a long walk the last two days.
2. She has been social smiling more and more and it makes me melt!
3. We are going to the zoo this weekend for a 5K we do every year with our friends. I am so excited for baby girl to come and be apart of the yearly tradition! Soon enough she will be doing the kids run!
4. I don't have to go back to work until June 9th. I only have to go back for a week and then am off for the summer.
I'm happy that I love my job so much that it makes going back easier. Almost done with my third week back and we are starting to fall into a decent routine ( hope I do t eat my words). My husband has been amazing the days I work and don't get home until 8pm. He has diaper laundry going- dinner ready to be heated in the microwave and Sloan taken care of.
I miss Sloan like crazy but I also LOVE helping people feel better. My patients mean a lot to me. ( I've had a great two days at work with good people)
I'm happy for a couple of reasons today. 1.) We worked it out with the hospital that we can now pay our share of the bill before Abby turns 100 years old and 2.) DH is super duper close to getting a promotion! The sad/scary thing is that we will mostly be living separately for about 6-12 months with him coming home on the weekends, but it is a great opportunity for him/our family!
