Retinoblastoma Awareness Week

Hi ladies. 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with unilateral Retinoblastoma. I wanted to take a second to share some links about this cancer. Around this age is when a lot of children are diagnosed. I was 4, and the tumor had gotten too large for anything except removal. Being aware of the signs is this best way to fight this childhood cancer. If there are any questions I can answer, feel free to ask.

"The cleaning, the scrubbing will wait til tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So, quiet down cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."
  • Wow! I can't imagine going through that or having my child go through that. Thank you for sharing your story and bringing light to the awareness week!
