So we went for the ultrasound today and pretty much saw nothing.
I am 5w 4d based on my lmp but he said everything looked exactly as it shoukd. Increasing fluid in the uterus, the start of a sac (not sure what that means) but nothing definitive go look at. Says my numbers are great though and not to worry.
I have a repeat u/s in a week. He assured me everything is fine but I wish I had seen something definitive.

*All are welcome in my posts*Early ultrasounds are the worst. Seriously. I had one at 5w5d and saw just a sac. Nothing more. It freaked me out, I googled, I lost sleep, and I worried.
Then, in the past week, I have relaxed a lot. I know how this rodeo goes and I know that nothing I do or worry about is going to change the outcome. So I have stopped googling and am just repeating the "today I am pregnant and I love my baby" mantra until my next u/s on Thursday.
If I were you, I would personally wait two weeks instead of one. The 6 week timeframe can still be a little gray when it comes to what you should see. Once you get into the 7 week range, you can start making calls about "viable" pregnancies based on what you see or don't see. My doctor originally asked me to come in one week, but I asked if we could push it back to two weeks and he was so relieved that I wanted that. He was trying to be supportive, but when I told him I'd rather not have another ultrasound in the "gray area zone" he was very happy with that choice.
Obviously it's up to you and how you feel comfortable. But ultrasounds prior to 8 weeks are notoriously stress inducing. And they don't do any good really.
