What's up?

I've got a question: would it be easier to maybe have a sticky thread for solids questions? A lot of us are posting new threads over introducing solids. Would it make life easier to post ALL the questions in a sticky thread? What do you think?

I like the names of the spam threads way more than the actual content. Just thought I'd come in to say that.

Since I'm here, I vote against a food sticky, because it will get too long and people will start posting individual threads saying it's too long to look through and then we'll have the sticky PLUS all the new threads.

Sooooo, we went to a friends housewarming BBQ on Saturday and apparently after I left with the kids they all started doing coke. When DH told me last night I was REALLY surprised, they just don't seem like the kind of people that party like that. We're going on vaca for Memorial Day with them and a few other couples and when DH and another friend confronted them about not bringing that stuff with them on vacation they made a big deal about it. DH pretty much told them that they don't want it around the kids and this vacation wasn't going to be a huge party because all of the rest of us are currently pregnant/have kids. And they said that's not their fault. I am 2 seconds away from not going. But I don't want to ruin MY vacation. DH said to stay out of it and he would take care of it, but I feel like I should call them personally and let them know I will LAY THEM OUT if they so much as have it in their car, let alone the house. This situation is so fucked up, and I can definitely say that after this vaca we won't be associating with them anymore...

They make lemon Oreos now?? I'm going to have to walk to the store during my lunch break and get a couple packs. As luck has it, DS1 is a huge fan of lemon cookies so we can pig out together

Maybe I was a little OTT. I think if I was by myself I would have just picked it up myself and moved on but she was so disrespectful and I had all three kids with me. In the end I think she learned a lesson and I'm assuming DD1 who is 6.5 did too. :

All during the night last night and this morning I kept smelling baby poop. LO never pooped so I can't figure out why I'm smelling it. Now I'm paranoid that I have poop smeared on me somewhere that I can't see.

I am so ghostly white that I'm actually considering jumping in the tanning bed in my basement (left by the previous homeowner). I'd really like some color, but....skin cancer....and wrinkles. Seriously though, I look like this chick.

I had this same experience. Turns out that our cats had got a hold of one of C's stinky diapers and had pulled it under the changing table. Thankfully they didn't get into the diaper, they were just swatting it (the diaper) around.

Sometimes it is helpful having a sister who is a public health nurse. Good: she tells when and where all the nasty outbreaks are. Bad: she tells when and where all the nasty outbreaks are. Currently she is on a remote island community running a pertussis immunization clinic because there are something 54 cases there of a community of 3000. These people regularly come here to shop (and now my fear: to spread disease). Also in central Alberta they are facing a measles outbreak, my SO wants to go there this summer, even if we don't go my sil will be traveling from there to see us. Her boys are inoculated so it should be OK but irrational fear is that somehow they bring with them and my unprotected baby gets it.

I'm jealous that you have a tanning bed in your basement! I stopped tanning when I got pregnant but I am seriously so pasty white it's blinding.
I had a knee length skirt on the other day but quickly changed out of it when I saw how white my legs were

I have never had a spray tan that didn't look orange on my unfortunately.

@jordanm24‌ I just spoke to DH about it and fortunately they were the only ones who opted to just pay the deposit and not the full amount. So I am now going to get in touch with the other couples and see if they would be willing to pay them out. I don't see this being a problem as they were the only ones who didn't see a problem with this. Fingers crossed! What assholes they have turned out to be, they are some of DH's oldest friends AND the brother of one of the other couples going. Insane.

oh I'm glad that's an option! wow, how sad that must be for everyone...it sounds like their drug use was pretty unexpected & came as quite a shock.

@prettykitty2012‌ good for you! I did that once in a Dunkin parking lot. There were two punk teens parked and one of them threw a piece of paper out of the window. I picked it up and said "excuse me you dropped this" and threw it back in the car. He looked so stunned and just said thanks. I then said "I figured you dropped it because only a complete douchebag would litter rather then walking 10 feet to that garbage can. Have a good day!". Then I practically ran to my car lol

So I am super annoyed at MIL. She always plays the poor me card and is constantly telling me how much she misses the kids (she lives 10 mins away but sees them every 6 weeks). So I called her to see if she wanted to visit today because we were not available over the weekend when she wanted to come. She says yes and that she'd be over shortly. That was at 11am and it's now 3pm. WTF! Then she wonders why I never make plans or even fucking bother with her.

So I have a question. I lurk the Parenting board and they have some major drama right now. I don't know the full story, but it sounds like one of their regulars betrayed a bunch of people in horrible ways.

As part of that thread, there was mention of a D13 rift being caused by the person who betrayed people on Parenting. I know there was some fighting here over the last few weeks/months and many people who were regulars aren't around much anymore, but I didn't know there was an actual "rift." Thoughts?

It was the top end with the sensor that went into the water so I think it is a goner. I'm gonna have DH take it to the cable company store tonight and see if they will switch it out. Hopefully they don't charge for it.

Can you give a run down on what happened? I don't have time for 38 pages (probably quite a few more by now), but I'm insanely curious.

Basically, one of the popular posters betrayed a bunch of other popular posters by sharing secrets and playing people off each other. Starting rumors and fights to get people mad at each other so they would all like her best. A lot of it seemed to happen on FB. The poster was very well liked and she hurt a lot of people.

Still confused about her role in D13 drama, but I guess it was a FB thing and I didn't join that. I just hope that's not why we've lost so many people on here.

Also - my child is losing her voice thanks to the fact that she practically screams now before every nap/bed. No effing clue what else to do. I PRAY this is just thanks to the 4mw .
