Dumb teething question

I want to give aaron a cool clothe to chew on. I wet a wash rag and put in freezer and then it was all icy and too cold to hold. what exactly do i do? not wet it? fridge not freezer? sorry for the silly question.

I only wet one part of it, that way the actual rag part was just cold, not icy...if that makes sense.

I wet one side of it and then put it in the freezer for about an hour, he happily held onto the non frozen end.
