Why is it...

That a milkshake is the best thing I can eat during 1st tri? Totally soothes my stomach every time. That is my random, pop in thought for the day. 3 1/2 weeks left in first tri, I can do anything for 3 1/2 weeks...right!?!

  • pffft, 1st tri is all about survival. it's got some protein & calcium, add fruit if you can handle it. sounds like a winner to me!

  • Better than the cheap ramen noodles that I craved....poor ds2
  • DId you by chance have milkshakes as a child ?  When I was in my first tri I wanted foods that reminded me of my childhood like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or cereal.  I guess I found those foods comforting ?
  • Sounds like a good enough reason to drink a milkshake to me.... :)

My sister apparently made a Nutella milkshake the other day....just vanilla ice cream, milk, a couple spoonfuls of Nutella, and a squirt of chocolate syrup. I don't know if that sounds delicious or disgusting to you, so take it or leave it. :)

I can't believe you're already almost out of the first tri....that is awesome!

hmm this is interesting. all during my pregnancy i wanted turkey burgers (i didn't eat beef for several years) w/ gobs of ketchup, pickes, diced onions, & yellow mustard. it reminded me of mcdonald's. thing is, we always use spicy brown mustard & haven't bought yellow in my adult life. all of a sudden, i had to have it. i probably had burgers like that 3 times a week in 1st tri. maybe you're onto something!
