So I'm going for my one hour GTT tomorrow, and it's at 10:00am. They told me I can eat whatever I wanted beforehand, as long as it wasn't anything sweet. So my question are, was the drink disgusting, and did it make you nauseous or anything after you had it? And if I ate something like a sausage biscuit from McDs about 30 min beforehand, do you think I would be fine? Thanks!
Re: Glucose Test
Don't mean to thunderjack, but, I'm at week 25, and the doc's office graciously allowed me to piggyback off my usual appointment, although they've said it's a little bit early. Anyone else been told that? Everything I read (including the stuff my doc's office gave me) said that GD tests were done between weeks 24 and 28. I can't figure out how I'm 'early' if I'm right in there. Weird. Anyone else been told they're 'early'?

4 rounds of clomid, 2 with IUI = BFN
It did make me feel a bit nauseous (sugar in the morning does that to me) and very sluggish.
I just did mine today, so I haven't heard back yet.

"I called Tuesday and was told I could take it today."
"Let me just go check with the doctor."
*cue my HUGE and massive sigh*
I've got to wait about 7 days for my results.
Course, my doc at my appointment came in and told me he was glad I came in to test early, because there's some stuff happening which could signal GD, so better to know now than 4 weeks from now. Meh. So take THAT nursey-nurse!!!

I ate 3 pieces of string cheese right after, then felt the worst on the drive to my office. I ended up going home a half hour early.

It's a girl! Baby Anna was born August 3, 2014!
Last pregnancy, I ate two pieces of whole wheat toast with peanut butter literally right before heading to the lab, and failed the 1 hour by a good 20 points if I remember correctly, I went on to pass the 3 hour. I'm so relieved I don't have to go through that headache again!
Last time no one told me anything and I forgot momentarily about the year and are a dozen mini Reese's. Oops

With DS, I failed the first hour of the 3 hour test both times I had to take the 3 hour test, but passed the other two hours. My ob decided to call it borderline GD and told me to manage it with diet.
