New here: intro and question

Hi all. I haven't posted on the bump in a while, and wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I were married in 2010 and have 2 boys. Drake will be 3 in July and Cruz is 15 month. Drake was diagnosed with ASD in January and the sting still hasn't worn off. He had zero words and very little social skills around other children. Since then he has been getting 15-20 hours a week of ABA. He is just starting to talk. He has about 8 words and is making great eye contact and following commands. The biggest thing we struggle with is his diet. We had him tested for celiac disease the results came back normal for a gluten allergy. We took him off all processed foods and sugar and it seem to help but then he started getting really constipated. I'm at a loss so if anyone has any tips on a diet to try I am all ears!

    Welcome! I also have a DS on the spectrum. ABA has worked wonders for him! We don't do anything with his diet because he already has a very limited diet due to oral motor issues. 


    DS1: 4/15/2011
    Dx: ASD, SPD and receptive and expressive speech delay at 21 months
    BFP #2: CP 5/2012
    DS2: 4/24/2013
    BFP #4: Miscarriage at 5 weeks 7/2014
    BFP #5: 8/8/2014 Due 4/20/2015 
    Its a healthy girl!!!!!

    Thanks ladies. Yes he tested negative for gluten intolerance. Kind of a relief but I wish I knew how to fix his stomach issues.

    He's been dairy free for a few months. At this point I'm not sure if he's really constipated or holding. And yes, it's only constipation. We started gf yesterday. And the fog... Omg it's crazy. He had a nutriagrain bar (not gf) for breakfast yesterday and was acting so weird! ABA was difficult for him because he couldn't sit still.
