I apologize because I know this has been discussed before and I'm really just too stressed/lazy to search for it all.
I have a freezer stash of about 25 oz. Daycare requires you to send prepared bottles (so, not the bags). I've been able to pump enough for each day so I haven't had to use the freezer stash yet. I'm thinking I'll start sending 1 bottle with thawed milk each day and the rest new milk that wasn't frozen and then I'll freeze the equivalent amount of new milk. Does that make sense? Better suggestions?

Re: Rotating milk?
If you are making just enough, is probably just use the 25 oz for a few date night or something. Assuming you have time before it expires. But if you aren't freezing any new milk, then there is really no point to thaw the same amount you are freezing each day. I'd just find another use for that milk.
But regardless of what you do, you should use it before it expires of donate it.
I'm realizing there's no real point to a freezer stash but like knowing that if I have a supply dip, get stuck in traffic, have a date night, it won't be a problem.
@ncase2 2 months? That's like 1500 oz or something! Donate some of that stuff, seriously. @redzee you wouldn't think you need it, but 25 oz is a comfort buffer. What if you go to the ER for hours, have to undergo anesthesia and pump and dump, or go to a dying relative? I mean, formula isn't the end of the world by any means, but I take some comfort in having a bit of a freezer stash.
Because I used to pump once a day before I went back to work, I had a decent stash. Now I am always using frozen milk that's about 2 mo old.
