Re: STMS+: Tell us Your Faves
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies - Zip-up footie pajamas and the dress-like onesies. So easy to change diapers with those.
3) Bottles and pacifiers - I like the Avent bottles much better than my Playtex Vent Aire. Playtex was good but they wore out quickly. ETA: DS rarely took a paci because he is a punk but I hear the Nuk ones are good.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable - Medela PISA.
5) Swaddle blankets - any of the lighter, muslin blankets.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) - RnP was our go-to.
7) Baby grooming stuff - Nail files, suction bulbs/Nose Frieda, lots of washcloths because half will get lost and several will be found behind the toilet growing mold and laughing at you.
8) Baby soap - J&J works for us.
9) Diaper rash cream - Aquaphor, coconut oil, Triple Paste for the serious rashes
10) Nursing bras - not a lot of experience but I will say it's worth it to get at least one fitted bra. Your hospital might do it and I think a few department stores do as well.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear - Keep those maternity clothes handy! I went back to regular shirts more quickly but I wore my maternity jeans/pants for like eight weeks. They are especially good if you are having a c/s.
12) Baby monitors - Summer Infant digital video monitor.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) - Ha! I don't drink alcohol but I always recommend Diet Coke
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies? CARTER's
3) Bottles and pacifiers? AVENT BOTTLES, NUK BINKIES
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable? MEDELA PISA
5) Swaddle blankets? ADEN & ANAIS MUSLIN WRAPS
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc)? CO-SLEEPING
7) Baby grooming stuff? ANY SET OF COMB, BRUSH, NAIL CLIPPERS
8) Baby soap? MUSTELA BRAND

10) Nursing bras? UNSURE
11) Post-baby clothes to wear? YOGA PANTS AND STRETCHY TOPS
12) Baby monitors? UNSURE
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo)? WINE, SPECIFICALLY BAREFOOT MOSCATO OR RIESLING
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies - Love the one-pieces with the scrunched legholes for girls and little shorts for boys. They are so easy to change and super cute. It's too hot in Miami for a kid to be in a footed sleeper if we're leaving the house.
3) Bottles and pacifiers - Tommee Tippee (as recommended by my LC) and soothies pacifiers.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable - Medela Freestyle was great for using on-the-go
5) Swaddle blankets - Aden & Anais
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) - PnP (for the first week, maybe), then crib in nursery/DD's room
7) Baby grooming stuff - Nose Frida and regular nail clippers, super-soft hair brush (soothes them!)
8) Baby soap - Burt's Bees. Smells so good!
10) Nursing bras - Target / Nordstrom
11) Post-baby clothes to wear - First couple of weeks: yoga pants/leggings, shelf tank, cardi-wrap or drapey vest. After that: Shirts fit pretty soon, especially those flowy tanks that are thankfully everywhere. Low-panel mat jeans, plus a couple larger sized shorts I have from last time, fold-over skirts (in pre-p size).
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo): Bell's Oberon (beer), red wine!!! and lots of coffee!!!
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies Anything with the closed feet and mitten cuff sleeves. Newborn socks/mittens are evil and always coming off/getting lost.
3) Bottles and pacifiers Medela Bottles, mostly used boobs and Avent Pacifiers
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable Medela Pump n Style
5) Swaddle blankets Summer Infant Swaddler's are my favorite for summer or Halo Sleep Sacks for winter.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) Right on my chest, the swing or PNP. Where ever I can actually get baby to sleep.
7) Baby grooming stuff I used one of those electric nail grinders from Avon to DD nails when she was very little and it was so much easier. Got them short without sharp edges.
8) Baby soap Aveeno or Johnsons Lavender
9) Diaper rash cream Resinol. You can get it from the pharmacy, works better than anything else.
10) Nursing bras I have a variety, mostly from Motherhood Maternity
11) Post-baby clothes to wear Sweats and a nursing bra or tank. Clothes are too much work.
12) Baby monitors Summer Infant Video Monitor. It has lasted 2+ years and been an amazing investment.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) Blue Moon, cannot wait to have one!
edit because Summers Eve is a douche cream and not a brand of swaddles. I am a genius.
I always used huggies diapers but learned with my last one that target brand diapers are comparable to huggies and they are way cheaper. I also used target brand sensitive wipes for babies.
Love Tommee Tippee bottles and my dd would only take a MAM pacifiers. They have her one at the hospital and that's all she would take.
I kept my babies in a bassinet next to my bed for the first few months.
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies Carters always fit true to size and I never had trouble with items shrinking. Also, this sizing is good for my tall, skinny kid. Baby Gap when I feel like splurging!
3) Bottles and pacifiers We lucked out and DS liked the Playtex Drop Ins. We never had to buy other types.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable Medela PIS
5) Swaddle blankets Aden and Anais muslins
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) Arms Reach Co-sleeper once he was a little bigger and didnt mind sleeping flat. As a newborn he slept weill in the newborn napper part of the PNP.
7) Baby grooming stuff Aveeno
8) Baby soap Aveeno
9) Diaper rash cream Triple Paste!!!! I cant praise it enough for tough rashes, esspecially when DS was teething. Triple Paste and then a layer of zinc poweder (like Baby Gold Bond) cleared anything up overnight.
10) Nursing bras n/a
11) Post-baby clothes to wear Roll over yoga pants because they were gentle on my incision.
12) Baby monitors Motorola Video monitor
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) DH has been drinking this Vanilla Porter, I can't remember the brewery but I can't wait to have more than a sip! Also, red wine - all of it, please.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) Bassinet as a newborn, then crib. RnP weren't around until after my second, and neither of my kids slept well in a PnP. I wish I had a cosleeper this time around, though.
-huggies little snugglers and huggies natural care wipes
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies
footed sleepers and onesies.. usually Carter's is my go-to
3) Bottles and pacifiers
-Playtex nurser dropins and MAM pacifiers
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable
Medela- any of them are great
5) Swaddle blankets
Aden and anais for actual blankets and summer infant swaddleme for the easy on ones with Velcro

bassinet at first, then the PnP
7) Baby grooming stuff
anything Mustela or California Baby
8) Baby soap
seriously... Mustela or California Baby
9) Diaper rash cream
Triple Paste was sent from heaven
10) Nursing bras
I wear the ones from motherhood, they work fine for me (36E when nursing)
11) Post-baby clothes to wear
loose, flowy, comfy!
12) Baby monitors
I like our summer infant monitors but the handheld portable parent screen died after a year of use sooo there's that
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo)
give me all the Riesling (but only if it's from Germany)
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies: Carters are great for newborns
3) Bottles and pacifiers: I EBF'd my first then he went to Nuk bottles; my second was formula fed from he beginning, he preferred Tommee Tippee and Medela
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable: Medela PIS
7) Baby grooming stuff: tiny nail clippers, soft brush, tooth brush and oil if they had cradle cap
8) Baby soap: Johnson and Johnson when they were newborns, then moved onto Dove, our pedis recommendation
9) Diaper rash cream: Creamy balmex
10) Nursing bras: I was smaller with my first so I was able to fit into Motherhood ones; this time, I'm a bit bigger and just ordered some Elomi (got the recommendation here)
11) Post-baby clothes to wear: yoga pants, tank tops, comfy clothes
12) Baby monitors: Angel care
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo): I love Mosquito
1) Brand of newborn diaper and wipes Pampers Swaddlers, switch to huggies around size two, they seem to fit my son better when he was beginning to crawl and had less blow outs.
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies Carter's, I love all of them, later on I loved the gap lined jeans for cold weather.
3) Bottles and pacifiers Haven't used bottles, but Pacifiers we went with Dr. Brown's not sure why I chose them but we went the same route this time around too
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable Medela Swing. We bought it in the hospital, didn't think I would need it, but glad I got it. Light weight and portable. Battery and ac adapter powered.
5) Swaddle blankets didn't use with DS, he hated to be swaddled so no experience here.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) Had a bassinet as a gift from mom that we used for a few months but then DS stayed in a pack n' play mainly because we were in the middle of moving from Maine to Italy until we finished our orders overseas, then form Italy we moved to Oklahoma and had to wait until our things arrived and buy a house to get a crib. This time we went with just the pack n' play with the bassinet that we will use.
7) Baby grooming stuffI used the gift set my family got, saftey first brand with the soft brush, comb, water spray bottle, finger nail clippers and files. although I felt safer biting newborn nails only because I could feel and not worry about cutting DS. Still have all items and will use again. Except the booger sucker. I will be getting the ones the ladies suggested to me. Nosefida.
8) Baby soapAveeno gentle baby wash, light on fragrence and works really well on DS's skin where he has severe eczema
9) Diaper rash cream Budreaux's Butt Paste all natural worked great for us and didn't leave a burning sensation when putting it on a sore bum.
10) Nursing bras Still searching for a comfortable one.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear Yoga pants, and to go out I continued to wear my maternitity jeans.
12) Baby monitors Levana video baby monitor (non-wireless) is what we have with DS, hoping to continue to use with LO. DS Will be 3 by the time LO is transferred to her own room so Im hoping we wont need it for him any longer.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) Beer- I like Bud light, Coors, Paps, but will drink almost all beer. Wine - My favorite is Picoli from where we lived in Italy, but unfortunately I drank my stash we brought with us. Boo! Moscato Pink Champagne with berries. Reisling, and well there are so many I can't choose.
2. I have a BabyGap problem

4.medela PIS
5.Aden+Anais
6.co-sleepers/bed sharing
7.im excited for this electric one I got this time around ( some japan brand) otherwise I just bit my kids nails
8.California Baby or Burt's Bees

10. I used nursing tanks, sleep bras, and just pulled down the cup on my normal bras, worked fine for DD and DS and I nursed them both for 18( DD) to 26months (DS)
11.yoga. Stretchy. Banded tops. Maxi dresses/skirts. Think comfort.
12.nope
13. Cab Souv. And some delicious IPAs( flower power, wolavers, lagunitas, west coast... The list goes on)

Rainbow & Babe #4 EDD 7.28.18
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies- Next (nextdirect.com) has the most adorable clothes for all kid ages/sizes.
3) Bottles and pacifiers- didn't use bottles…like MAM pacis, but I have MAM, Nuk, and Soothies in house to see what the babies prefer. We are big fans of pacifiers.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable- I always gravitated toward Medela.
5) Swaddle blankets- Woombies for swaddling, A&A swaddle blankets for everything else (though I just bought these for the first time this pregnancy).
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc)- Loved the Arm's Reach for the first 1-2 months (but it was a hand-me-down; not sure I would have spent the $ on it knowing it was only for a short time). Then used a PnP until 6 months or so.
7) Baby grooming stuff- The NoseFrida and/or the snot suckers from the hospital (no other brand will do).
8) Baby soap- I know I should use something organic or natural, but that Johnson and Johnson bedtime stuff smells so magical.
9) Diaper rash cream- Triple Paste
10) Nursing bras- I have no idea. Trying new ones this time. I had a bunch of nursing camis that I loved and wore with regular bras.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear- This time I am planning on wearing lots of jersey dresses from Old Navy.
12) Baby monitors- Loved the Angel Care movement monitor. Switching to a clip on one (like the Snuza) this time because I will have two in the same bed.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo)- Moscato!
1) Brand of newborn diaper and wipes- we started with Pampers and quickly moved to Target up&up. However, I don't like their wipes. I buy pampers.
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies- Honestly you go through them so quick. I wouldn't drop a ton of $. DD was in NB for 4 weeks, and flew through the sizes. She wore alot of carters. I think old navy sizing is inconsistent. I like the quality of Gap which works well for DD because she's longer and leaner and Gymboree but it unfortunately runs short in my opinion
3) Bottles and pacifiers - DD would only take Dr. Brown's. Pacifiers it didn't amtter
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable - I used a Medela PISA double electric. No issues with it the entire year I used it.
5) Swaddle blanketsI had Aden and Anais. She hated to be swaddled so they were rarely used for swaddling
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc)- she slept in the RNP next to me in the early weeks then her crib. She hated the PNP. We use it for travel only and bought a mattress for it to make it bearable
7) Baby grooming stuff..nothing specific
8) Baby soap- Burt's bees wash..we use it as a wash and shampoo
9) Diaper rash cream- triple paste all the way
10) Nursing bras- I have a bigger chest. The only ones that made me feel normal were Anita underwire
11) Post-baby clothes to wear- I wore old navy yoga pants for a week and was back in regular clothes
12) Baby monitors- have the motorola video..no issues just bought the second camera for #2
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo)- pinot grigio
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies: When babies are new I prefer to dress them in sleepers and side snap shirt because it's convenient and makes diaper changes easy. I like Carters best for the itty bitty baby stage.
3) Bottles and pacifiers: I don't like bottles with a lot of parts so when we did use a bottle with DD we used Tommy Tippie ones. For pacis DD uses the advent soothies. That's what she was given at the NICU and that's all she ever used after that.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable: I didn't pump much, just a little if I knew we were going out and had to leave DD with a sitter, so I made due with a Medela hand pump that I got at the hospital.
5) Swaddle blankets: I have the Bambino Land muslin swaddle blankets. They're pretty much the same as the A&A but I like the patterns of the Bambino Land ones better.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc): We just use a basic Graco PnP for a place to sleep while traveling. We bed shared at home at night when DD was little (actually we did this for 2 years) and DD used to nap in her swing for like the first 5-6 months.
7) Baby grooming stuff: Never got a specific set for DD.
8) Baby soap: California Baby, BabyGanics, Burts Bees, and Aveno all get used here depending on how much I feel like spending when at the store.
9) Diaper rash cream: Anti Monkey Butt Paste, the purple Desitin, or just coconut oil.
10) Nursing bras: Anything comfortable and wireless. Don't need those wires digging into my boobs when they start to get engorged.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear: With DD I lived in yoga pants and nursing tanks for like the first month.
12) Baby monitors: never used one
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo): White Zin

2. Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies: Anything cheap. Babies spit-up and have blowouts all day long. i only put them in more expensive clothes on special occasions.
3) Bottles and pacifiers: I used the Medela bottles that came with my pump when I gave my babies bottles. My daughter never took a paci. My son would only take the Aveno pacis.
4. Breastfeeding pump: Medela Pump in Style.
5) Swaddle blankets: The ones we stole from the hospital, and anything we got from our shower. Nothing fancy.
6) Sleeping area for baby: PnP next to our bed.
7) Baby grooming stuff: We got safety first stuff from our shower with DD. We just used that.
8) Baby soap: Johnson and Johnson no tears baby wash
. 9) Diaper rash cream: typically we just used Desitin
10) Nursing bras: I bought a bunch of nursing tanks from Target. I like those the best because they cover your stomach while nursing.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear: yoga pants and t-shirts
12) Baby monitors: In the past, we used a standard monitor. I really want a video monitor. It's on my to do list.
13) Beer or wine: Do I have to choose? I can't wait for a nice cold Blue Moon, but I'm also looking forward to a couple glasses of wine at the end of the day!
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies Carters for newborn but I like the Gap or Old Navy for the older sizes because of the range (i.e. 12-18 month, 18-24 month) and DD can wear them so much longer.
3) Bottles and pacifiers I picked Avent based on reviews and registered for everything that brand. Thankfully DD wasn't picky and it all worked out. She did hate the soothie-type pacifiers tho.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable Avent Double Electric. Loved it.
5) Swaddle blankets The Aden & Anais are really worth the investment if you ask me. They are super soft but even more then that I love how big they are. So many of the other brands are so tiny and DD was long.
7) Baby grooming stuff I thought the baby nail files were a life saver. I still think clipping a baby's nails is awful.
8) Baby soap We started with J&J but switched to Aveeno because DD has pretty sensitive skin.
9) Diaper rash cream We used California Baby when she was in cloth and have since used Aquaphor. She's had one really bad rash that called for Triple Paste which many have mentioned is amazing.
10) Nursing bras I just use the Target brand which are wireless and comfortable.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear Target nursing tanks and yoga pants is my uniform of the summa.
12) Baby monitors We have one but I don't know the brand and it's probably been plugged in twice by the baby sitter.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) I have been craving an Allagash White something fierce but usually my go-to is a Pinto Noir.
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies: not brand specific, but the gowns were great for easy night time diaper changes
3) Bottles and pacifiers: playtex nursers with drop ins and mam pacifiers
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable: Medela PISA
5) Swaddle blankets: aden and anis
6) Sleeping area for babies: PnP in our room
7) Baby grooming stuff: Noodle and Boo lotion and conditioning spray
8) Baby soap: Earth Mama Angel Baby or Burts Bees
9) Diaper rash cream: Boudreaux buttpaste or Burts Bees
10) Nursing bras: hated the ones I bought last time, giving the Target ones a try this time.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear: yoga pants, although it will be hot this time of year so shorts and tank tops
12) Baby monitors: summer infant touch screen color video monitor
13) Beer or wine: I'm a wheat beer girl and I already bought some peach to put in the fridge as I'm leaving for the hospital, but I do plan on making lots of sangria this summer!
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies Anything 100% cotton
3) Bottles and pacifiers Baby #1 liked Nuk nipples/bottles, never offered a pacifier
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable Medela PIS was my best friend when I returned to work
5) Swaddle blankets Both flannel and muslin
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) Bassinet in our room, PnP downstairs, crib when bassinet is too small
7) Baby grooming stuff Mini nail files, soft brush, lots of wash cloths
8) Baby soap Love Burt's Bees products and can't live without Mustela Pysiobebe no rinse cleanser. J&J Natural is good for when they're older and you don't want to shell out the moolah for the fancy stuff.
9) Diaper rash cream A&D is the best. I use a combo of the gel and the creamy. The gel goes on the upper diaper area and the cream goes in the little booty crack/cheeks. Baby #1 never had a rash!
10) Nursing bras Motherhood
11) Post-baby clothes to wear whatever you can fit into that's comfortable
12) Baby monitors Angel Care with the motion sensor, didn't feel the need for the video though
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) Massive quantities of both!
Good Luck 1st time Mommas! You will very quickly figure out what's right for you & baby
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies: Kimono style onesies so you don't have to worry about their heads, no particular brand.
3) Bottles and pacifiers Dr Brown's bottles, we didn't really use a pacifier because she didn't like them.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable Medela Symphony, it's hospital grade double electric and was amazing! Sad I don't have that option this time.
5) Swaddle blankets: A&A hands down.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) Crib in their own room!
7) Baby grooming stuff: Didn't use much, she had no hair and I used an emery board for her nails.
8) Baby soap: Shea Moisture is amazing, smells awesome, and is so gentle on their skin.
9) Diaper rash cream: Mama Medicine's Sweet Bee Magic. All natural, doesn't stick like desitin, smells awesome, and can be used all over on her and us.
10) Nursing bras: Motherhood maternity are pretty much the only ones I bought.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear: the fold over top t-shirt material crop pants from Old Navy are amazing and sooooo comfortable.
12) Baby monitors We didn't use one, she was close enough and I'm a light sleeper.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo): Malbec for red, Chardonnay from New Zealand for whites. No beer, Angry Orchard or Woodchuck ciders.

CHC arrived 6/2/14
Thanks all you wonderful STMs for playing and answering!
3) Bottles and pacifiers -loved Avent for bottles but will probably try glass this time (maybe evenflo). I like MAM pacis.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable - have only used medela and it's worked well for me. Both freestyle and Pisa.
5) Swaddle blankets -miracle blanket at night and any muslin blanket for general use.
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc) -arms reach mini cosleeper
7) Baby grooming stuff -nothing specific
8) Baby soap and lotions - I mostly avoid Johnson and Johnson. I've used California Baby, Eucerin, Cetafil, Cereve, Aquafor, Vanicream, coconut oil, and some Aveeno products. My kids have eczema and sensitive skin so I'm always trying something new and avoiding fragrance stuff.
9) Diaper rash cream -Tried so many and in the end strangely enough Balmex always worked the best.
10) Nursing bras -Anita (Nordstrom, Amazon, specialty bra shops)
11) Post-baby clothes to wear - anything that fits comfy?!
12) Baby monitors -Motorolla. Had two Summers that broke.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) - wine, margaritas on the rocks ( no salt)
14) sbs or tandem strollers -SBS!
1) Brand of newborn diaper and wipes? up and up (target brand)
3) Bottles and pacifiers? We used the first years bottles that came with my pump. DS didn't have an issue with these, so we never tried another brand. For pacifiers, at first we used the type they give you in the hospital (soothies brand I think?) but switched to NUK when he got older.
4) Breastfeeding pump if applicable? I used a First Years miPump, but don't know that I would recommend it even though it worked fine for me (lots of bad reviews).
5) Swaddle blankets? Swaddle Me from Summer Infant
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc)? DS was in a crib in our room. This time we got an Arms Reach CoSleeper. Hoping it helps us all sleep better and facilitates MOTN breastfeeding.
7) Baby grooming stuff? I don't even know what this means?
8) Baby soap? Johnson and Johnson
9) Diaper rash cream? Dr. Beaudreaux's Butt Paste (All Natural, the one in the green tube).
10) Nursing bras? Motherhood brand.
11) Post-baby clothes to wear? A nursing tank (from target) with a loose Tshirt over it (makes nursing in public a breeze with no need for a cover!)
12) Baby monitors? Didn't use/need one. Tiny apartment.
13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo)? Depends on my mood :-)
FTMs, anything I've forgotten just chime in!
BFP#2: EDD 2/11/14, MMC confirmed 7/15/13 (growth stopped at 6 weeks), D&C @ 12 weeks 7/25/13
Huggies swaddlers with the magic pee line and the umbilical cord cutout and I'll use just about any fragrance free wipes
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies
Carter's has the best fit in my opinion. They are long and skinny like a newborn but still offer plenty of stretch
3) Bottles and pacifiers
Medela bottles, Avent pacifier for new born then The First Years Gum Drop pacifier for teething stage (they're a little firmer but still have a natural shape)
Breastfeeding pump if applicable
I used an Ameda electric double pump (not sure of the style) last time and bought the hands free Medela pump this time, can't wait to try it! Is that weird?
5) Swaddle blankets
Just any receiving blanket
6) Sleeping area for babies (PnP, RnP, sidecar crib, Arm's Reach, etc)
I have an Inglesina Zippy Bassinet that sits on the floor by my bed or even in the bed with us for the first few months. I chose this because it is compact and portable for my small apartment
7) Baby grooming stuff
Nail clippers and stuff I guess? I got a safety first grooming kit at the shower for my first and I'll use it again I guess. The only thing I used were the nail clippers really. It came with an aspirator but it was basically useless. I bought one by the ear drops at the store and it was fantastic. Used a fine tooth comb for hair.
8) Baby soap
I like Aveeno for sensitive skin, I used it head to toe. Didn't see the point in shampoo with so little hair.
9) Diaper rash cream
It's all the same to me. Zinc oxide.
10) Nursing bras
Gilligan&Omally from Target. They have different options and even cute ones. Usually only about $20-$30
11) Post-baby clothes to wear
Whatever I can find that doesn't have baby vomit on it for the first few months. Also, things with good boob access (e.g. Zip up, button up...)
12) Baby monitors
We have some really basic ones by Fischer Price that can be cord or battery operated. They work fine for our apartment. We would even take it to the neighbors if we went to have a glass of wine after baby was asleep and it had great reception. Granted that was literally just across the hall.
13) Beer or wine
Wine. And tequila. And rum. And vodka. And whiskey. Pretty much anything but beer. But I'll drink beer if I'm desperate.

12) Baby monitors - We have this Summer one and still use it with DD. I also got one similar to this (but it also has audio) because I loved to make sure it wasn't too hot or cold in DD's room, plus we took it with us when we visited the in-laws.

13) Beer or wine (because that's important yo) Neither, sorry. Never been a big fan of either.
2) Type/Brand of clothes for newbie babies Anything from Target or Walmart because all they do is spit up and get nasty (mostly the zip up footie pajamas and the gowns with the elastic at the bottom with built in mittens for their hands). No need to spend tons of money on a bunch of nice clothes.
3) Bottles and pacifiers Used Dr. Browns and never had an issue. There are a lot of parts to wash, but you get used to it. For pacifiers we just used to ones from the NICU for a while (I was given a lot of extras thanks for my friend) and then DS just took whatever...no particular brand.
