  I like the scratch off ticket idea, but I chose cake because I love cake.

  We chose cake last time and loved the fact that it was around for a few days (it was just the 2 of us).  Not sure if cost is an issue since you pointed out price, but our cake ended up being about $150, though our pastry chef is probably a bit on the expensive side.

  I feel like everyone does the cake or food reveal! Scratch offs were cute unique and personalized! I just got mine in the mail today that I will be sending to distant family.

  My dad LOVES scratch offs! So if we did a gender reveal, I would definitely get a custom scratch off for my dad!
