  First, I am so sorry for your loss. Everyone is different in how long it takes their HCG levels to get back to zero. Some women drop quickly but in others like myself, the levels take their good old time. Part of why my levels are taking longer (I am 8w post D&C) is because we think there was still a very small amount of tissue that remained after the operation. Are you taking home pregnancy tests or being monitored by a doctor?

  To my understanding, the average is 4 weeks, but that means that half of people take longer.

  Have you spoken to your doctor about this?  Was your mc natural or did you have a D&C?  It's very possible that you had an incomplete mc and that is why you are still showing positive.  Your doctor should be able to shed more light on this.

  I was still getting a very faint positive 4 weeks post-D&C. I got my first AF 30 days after the procedure. Average is around 5 weeks.

  I took about 5 weeks to get my HCG to 0 from my pregnancy that was about 8 weeks along. Like pp said, your dr should do bloodwork and make sure everything resolves itself to get you back to 0.
