  Mine seriously prefers my husband. He reaches for him and freaks out when he leaves the room. I can nurse Colton to sleep, but if that fails, he will only be rocked to sleep by my husband and not me. I think it's because my husband carries him more than I do (bad back). But after I sprained my ankle last week, it got worse because my husband had to spend more time with him including doing all the drop offs and pick ups at daycare. I've been sad about it...

  Grayson definitely prefers to be comforted by me or my sister over my SO. Grayson used to go to sleep for my SO but now he's got a strong attachment to me and my sister and we're the only ones who can get him to sleep. Sometimes my mom can but it's rare these days. Hopefully he'll go back to letting anyone out him to sleep so I can get a break! Grayson will play with anyone though! As long as he's getting attention he doesn't care who's playing with him.

  He prefers to be comforted by my H - but when I say that, I'm talking about rocking him to sleep.  If he's hurt and upset, he can be comforted by either of us.  I think he prefers to play with me - which is why I can't rock him to sleep these days... he lays on my chest and I think he's almost asleep. Then he sits up and starts laughing and trying to play with me.

  B doesn't care who he plays with.. me, my H, the dog.. makes no difference to him. 

  
  

  For hurt or scared comforting, he reaches for me, but my H is the master at comforting him to sleep.  H made up a little lullaby that he sings to B.. it is just about the most adorable thing ever.

  He prefers to be comforted by me but I think he likes to play with my fiance more....I think that's because my fiance is stronger and will lift him up high for along period of time (to do like airplane and stuff). Plus he'll "wrestle" with Joseph and they both love it. I tried "wrestling" with Joseph once and he looked at me like I was crazy....

  I'm torn between saying he straight out prefers DH or prefers being comforted by DH but likes us equally for play. So even though it's my poll, I haven't actually voted yet.  I will soon.

  
  

  It's my fault, though.  He preferred me during my maternity leave, but the bigger he gets, the harder it gets for me to hold him for very long due to ongoing issues with my back and shoulders.  So a lot of the time, if we are out, I ask DH to hold him, so I think that's part of why he often prefers him now.  I am a teacher, so I am hoping with all the time we will spend together during summer break that he will prefer me equally!

  I said the same exact thing about the back! I hurt it several years back, and the weight from LO makes it so hard.  I really should go to physical therapy for it or at least do strengthening exercises because it's hard to hold him for long when we are standing, and he only likes being held while I am sitting if he is very tired.

  If I'm in the room, it's me for comfort or for play.  If I'm not in the room (and well out of sight) DH is an acceptable play-companion, but he still wants me for comfort.

  
  

  I'm trying my hardest to savor the mommy-favoring days, because I know they're numbered, but it wears a little bit sometimes.

  Me but prefers for DH to put him to bed. IT takes me for ever to get him down but DH will hold him while he drink his bottle and usually he will be out within 10 minutes.

  I know! It was better when he was small but now I can't carry him for very long. I went to physical therapy twice and it really helped. The problem was keeping up with the exercises after stopping it and then it all got worse during my pregnancy and I am still not back to prepregnancy back strength

  Daddy for sure for playing. He will play with me, but the minute daddy walks in the room it's bye bye Mommy. daddy plays with him a lot rougher than Mommy, which equals more fun for him. If he's hurt or afraid he immediately puts arms out for Mommy for comfort. When it comes time for sleeping Daddy is able to get him down much quicker than Mommy. My husband was away working for nearly 5 months and he would not go to sleep for anyone but me. When Dh came home we tried to break him from that, now we have totally went in the other direction.

  He prefers me for all the things, but to be honest, big brother is his go to for playing or calming him down if he is upset (Bradley will say "it's ok baby, I'm right here")

  If we are both in the room, she definitely wants to be comforted by me. However, DH does a better job at getting her to sleep as long as she doesn't think I'm around. She will play with anybody. We recently went to a cookout, and she was going to anyone who wanted to play.
