Best Shapewear or Spanx

I need some sort of shapewear to smooth my back and hips under a bridesmaid's dress. I'm going to be in it for 9 or 10 hours, so I need something somewhat comfortable, breathable and that I can pee in without taking the whole thing off. What ones to you guys like? I rarely wear this stuff, and I don't want to end up cranky and uncomfortable a couple hours in.

I wore something like this for a wedding and it was actually pretty comfortable. There is an opening in the bottom, so you can go to the bathroom without taking it off. It was 95 degrees on the day of the wedding (ceremony outside and reception in an older building that's air could not keep up with the extreme heat), so I can't speak much for breath ability since nothing was a good option that day.

I have Assets (Spanx cheapo line), and they are fine, like bike shorts. I wear them 10-12 hours w no complaints. I you're going to wear them more than once, I'd splurge on Spanx, the Assets ones have not held up for me.
