UPDATE - our precious rainbow A. was born May 9th @ 7:21. She is perfect and we're doing great. She is a sleepy snugglebug so far and causing me to type only lefty right now while I hold her so that's all for now. 
So, our little beduk (froggy) is sortof on her way but not on her own. Last Friday's BPP showed fluid levels almost too low and then today they were even lower, so midwives said it's definitely induction time. They're taking a slow approach for now, starting with cervadil (went in an hour or so ago - so far I don't feel anything - not sure if that's good or not! ) and then in the morning will decide what the next step will be depending on if I've started to dilate or at least effaced the rest of the way. Sounds like she could end up being born tomorrow (due date and my mother's birthday) or the next day.
Happy stories of inductions going well and especially of those resulting in vaginal delivery with no pain meds would be very welcome!!
Very excited to meet and hold our baby girl soon but also nervous about all the induction stuff and not liking being tied to the IV pole (fluids) and on constant monitoring ( though at least baby's heartrate is perfect so far!) But oh well. And they do day I'll still be able to use shower and even tub if I want so I'm very thankful to be at this hospital where policies like that prevail.

*All are welcome in my posts*I've had two inductions started with cervidil. With DD1 it kicked me in to labor and she was born within 10 hours of it's placement. FX for you that it works for you!

I have a happy induction story - I was induced with DS1 and it went very well. I came in to the hospital at 2cm and 80% effaced, and the cervadil got me to 3cm and 100% effaced (overnight). It gave me very mild contractions, they honestly felt like AF cramps and weren't bad.
Doctor came in and broke my water at that point, I was started on pitocin b/c I still hadn't actually gone into labor (this was around 9:00 am). I did opt for the epidrual b/c I am a wuss
My son was born at 3:48 pm so I was only in actual labor for about 7ish hours and he was born vaginally.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!
