***Making A Home Smonday: Mother's Day Edition***

Did you receive any home related Mother's Day gifts or have you in the past? If so, what has been you favorite?

*I got beautiful flowers and cards that are brightening up my kitchen table and a surf and turf dinner cooked by the hubs!

I love our tradition of the hubs making dinner and he outdid himself this year :-)

    start ttc #1 in Jan 2009
    dx PCOS in May 2010, begin metformin
    Two failed clomid cycles (made lining too thin)
    Started acupuncture while saving for IVF in Sept 2011
    Add herbal infusions to the mix in Dec 2011
    Hoping holistic approach works!!!

    Meepy Man born on Jan 2013 - Hip Hip Hurray!

    Ready to start ttc #2 April 2013, but plan to be an extended BF'er
    Back on metformin Aug 2013
    Restart herbal infusions Sept 2013 - currently drinking nettle, oatstraw, and red raspberry leaf
    DS weaned in April 2014
    Taking a break from herbs and just riding the healthy train.  
    Planning medicated cycle end of summer.  FX I get KU before then!!!

    DH doesn't buy house related gifts, even though I said I'm ok with them! I guess when he was little, his dad heled him and his brother pick out a set of pots and pans as a gift for his mom, and she was so upset she cried.

    Some years I wish for my birthday or Mother's Day he would just deep-clean the house! I don't need a tangible gift- just a freah, clean room to sit in!!

    I spent hours making fruit kabobs for his family so there was no time for breakfast he promised- so had leftover piece of chicken for Mother's Day breakfast (one of my recent things I'm trying, having chicken or turkey ready made in hand for salads or what not so glad I started that) and got to spend whole morning w in laws where my baby (the whole reason for the day) wanted to play with anyone but boring old always there Mommy and didn't get acknowledged w a Happy Mothers Day till we left (but today isn't about me, only them). Got home and hubs planted a creeper rose (which was not a mother's day gift, he would have done it anyway) and had me help him covert the crib (that has never been used) to a toddler bed (because just what I want on Mother's Day a definite step toward moving dd to her own room). Right before that he had a brief blow up about how the house is a mess and I'm not getting crap done fast for him to feel at home enough so I walked out and told him I was not going to be belittled on Mother's Day. He then asked me to come back bc he couldn't figure out the crib by himself w injured shoulder. So usually he makes dinner for MD but didn't plan anything and said I didn't defrost anything. I told him I plan every other meal, he knows what I like and what I don't and I'd have been happy w anything... so ended up ordering pizza. The only thing I can pull from the day is we got a few house chores done around the house but was also second day dd did not take a nap.
    January 2007- Stop BCP! Let's DO this!
    June 2010- MFI. BS. IVF! Ectopic. BS. image

    November 2010- FAILED FET! BS!
    January 2011- BFP FET! TWINS!     February 2011- lost twin. BS. image

    SEPTEMBER 2011- DD Born! Most awesome girl in the world!
    November 2013- FAILED FET! BS! (screw you November FETs)
    April Fresh Cycle, FAILED. Frozen embryos frozen for future FETs.
    FROZEN CYCLE JUNE! BFP
    BABY BOY VINCENT!

    Mother's day isnt' really about me so much as it is about running from one end of town to the other for his mom then my mom, but I got some artwork from my daughter (supervised by DH) and I didn't have to cook or change any diapers all day and got to spend time with my family and my SIL was not at my in-laws house so I'm calling it a win. It was a pretty nice (busy) day.

    @annibes lol!!! I thought about that... But our FET transfer should be that weekend (or like Friday), so he has to kiss my butt anyway and order shall be restored to the universe!!!! And if I play it right I shouldn't have to see his family. But I will still make sure to have a nice day for him, I'm not a vindictive person. I think he still deserves a nice Father's Day. Just not breakfast in bed!!!
