I hope someone can tell me if this is normal. So our kiddo has always loved to rock in his high chair back and forth. I think originally he did this because he was so used to the Bjorn bouncer that he loved. I thought that he may grow out of it, but he still does this every time. He rocks back and forth and tries to go really hard at it when he is upset or very excited. I think he is trying to move the chair which he does successfully. He doesn't do it all the time he is in it, like when he is busy eating or drinking. And if we try to stop him by placing our hand behind, he will actually smile / laugh and try to go at it harder, like it's a game. He doesn't do this anywhere else like high chairs in restaurants or the stroller, or the car seat. When he is sitting on the floor, he may occasionally do a couple rocks as he is lunging for something in front (I think). Anyways, my gut tells me it's totally normal and a little game he has invented for himself when he's bored, but I thought I'd check with other mamas out there. I'd be lying if I said I'm not at all concerned. I will definitely ask at his 12 months check-up, but that's a month from now.
TIA

@smpeachey Mine bangs his head on things too. He stands up on his changing table and will bang his head against the widow and laugh. You'll have to tell me what your doctor says about that when you ask him next week. Hopefully it is normal!
