Target diapers size?

Dumb CD mom question. We were just given 2 packs of Target brand diapers size 3 from a friend that are both already open. We are going on vacation at the end of July, and are choosing to use disposables at that time.  LO is currently 21 pounds and I know that the Target diapers go to 28 pounds, but I have also heard that sometimes that the package sizing isn't accurate. 

Have you found that target diapers sizing is pretty on par with the 'weight' for sizing?

    Well that gives me a little hope that we will be able to use them for vacay.  LO has some serious thighs, he got those from his mother, but does not have a tush or tummy, he got that from his father. 
    Maybe I will put one on this afternoon and see what it looks like. Thanks ladies.

    I have another 25 lb kiddo and we just went up to size 5s as well. I have ha to move him up well before the suggested weight for all the sizes, but I also LOVE the target diapers.

    And not just because they are a good excuse to regularly go to target.

    DD is a little over 23 lbs and has been in 4s for a while but she is thick in the thighs and has a tummy.

    I was just thinking more about this and what we did for Aiden and I remembered that he was in 3s FOREVER.  He actually was still only wearing 4s when he switched to pull ups for potty training and that's when he was 3 years old lol

    22 pounder here in size 4. He has been in 4s since around 20lbs. He has historically had bigger thighs but he appears to be stretching out! I think we will be in 4s for a bit longer.

    Were around 23 and 28 inches and have been in fours for months. However a 3 will fit but her tushie shows out the back :)

    See I'm such a neive disposable user. I always thought the weight suggestions were more for the amount the diaper  would hold versus the chunk of the kid. My thinking was more like"a 12 pound baby has a bladder that holds X amount versus a 20 pound baby whose bladder holds X amount"  I feel a little silly now.

    We use Target. Size 4 and X is 19 lbs. All about body shape. You will have to try them on!

    No matter what size you go with, you might want to let her wear disposables a few times before your trip. I was given some CDs a couple months ago to use with LO. It took a while for him to get used to them and for the first couple times I had him in them, he was super fussy. I'd hate for that to be how your trip starts.
