So yeah, this is going to be a little TMI...
On Friday I got this thing on my nipple - it kind of looks like a skin tag. If it gets bumped or rubbed (including my my shirt and sometimes my bra) it hurts. It hurts bad - kind of a stabbing pain. So I did some warm compresses and got out the sample breast pads. I noticed a little leakage (which as a FTM it does freak me out a little, but I knew it could happen) and there seemed to be a little cracking. So I went to BRU, got some bamboobies and the bamboobie ointment. This makes everyday movement a little more comfortable, but that skin tag thing is still there and it still hurts. I also have a soft lump on the one side of my nipple.
So all of my Dr. Googling points to clogged milk duct...but that also should have gone away withing 24-48 hours. I have sent a message to my OB through our online messaging system (I tried calling, but was directed to send it through the online thing, grrr). I am certain it is nothing serious, but it is making my whole boob kind of achy at this point and then there is the stabbing thing if the tag gets bumped. So STMs, am I missing something? What are your remedies for this? I would enjoy being able to walk around work normal - not constantly massaging my right breast!
Thanks!

Re: Talk to me about clogged milk ducts...
You said it feels achy. When I've had clogged ducts (during breastfeeding), my breast feels sore, but only in the area of the clogged duct. I never had a stabbing sensation.
I don't know about clogged ducts during pregnancy...my remedy was always warm compresses and having the baby nurse a lot. I know you don't want to pump during pregnancy, I've heard it can cause pre-term labor.

I'm not going to suggest pumping since you are still pregnant but but try massaging the lump towards your nipple and see if that helps.
But, listen to your OB when they get back to you.
