  • Haven't lost any weight because I wasn't really watching what I was eating, but I am starting a new diet today. Plus, going to try to walk to more places when it's not raining, as well as doing push-ups and whatnot.

The only summer "vacations" I'm planning involve counseling kids at their camp, teens at their camp, and teaching at VBS (Bible day camp). So, that's pretty much it. Summer is the busy season for my husband and me, so we travel in the winter.
    Love 2010 | Marriage 2011 | TTC #1 since 2012
    PCOS | Anovulatory | Metformin + Letrozole
  • I have been doing ok. I just finished af felt bloated this weekend and had a couple off items but nothing extreme. Im pushing to be under 220 by the end of the week.

Qotw: I have mini vacas scheduled over the summer. Just like weekend stuff. Concerts including Bruno Mars, panic at the disco, and fall out boy so excited

  • I've been managing to go to the gym 5 days a week but I've had to dial down the running and walking more because my muscles have been giving me problems and been having Ménière's spells. I'm still watching what I eat and managed to gain 4lbs. I'm sure it's water weight since I'm having spells but just frustrating. I only have 2 weeks before stimming and I'll have to dial it down a lot.

QOTW. Were going to Destin in July for a family vacation. I'm doing a girls trip to prob gulf shores in June for my 40th bday. My husband and I are going to try to go stay at the house in Savannah if we can get a week free without any dr appts sometime over the summer. I've got to get bathing suit ready for all these beach trips.

  • @Rumbera28‌ what is the plank challenge you speak of? I seriously hate sit ups.

I did a bit better with my running this week, though I skipped a day due to drinking quite heavily at my friends house. (Yep, skipped exercise AND crammed in extra calories. Woo-hoo!)
I'm hoping to really start getting serious with my exercise, as my bloodwork is starting to come back in and it looks like a tentative PCOS diagnosis. Until I get a doctor who is actually willing to do an ultrasound on me though, I won't know for sure. In any case, I know eating better and losing weight can work wonders on PCOS symptoms, so I am really hoping to use that as motivation.
I'm also trying to talk a friend into going to pole-dancing classes with me.
    ;)

QOTW: No summer "vacations" planned as of yet. We are going to my brother's Basic Training Graduation in Georgia in June, so that maybe counts? I am also considering going on a brief roadtrip with my dad to Oregon and Wyoming. I went with him last year and it was awesome, so as long as the timing works out with my IF testing/treatments, I am going!

  • Awesome work @hope2bmom83!! You're doing an amazing job!

I still haven't and don't plan on weighing myself. But I'm definitely feeling an improvement in my runs. Since last Wednesday, I'm pretty consistently able to get to the 3 mile mark without having to stop to walk. I also completed my first 5K this weekend in about 30 min, which is pretty decent considering I had to fight through a huge group of walkers at the beginning. I've also been able to keep up with my goal of 4 runs of at least 3 miles a week.

QOTW: I'm going to Nashville for a conference this summer, not sure how much time I'll get to explore the city though. And I'm going home to WI in August for my niece's birthday. Hopefully we'll manage to do some weekend camping trips as well, but we'll see.
Great job, Nashville is awesome!  We stopped there on the way back from Missouri last year and it was great.  We were only there about 20 hours but super cool!
    Ba hahahaha!

@modernfairytale8709 I finally succesfully completed the first day of couch to 5k.  It took me 3 days of trying before I could complete the whole day.  It kicked my butt, but I felt so proud.  I just kept thinking its only 1 minute, you can run for 1 minute.
    Ba hahahaha!

  • I'm late to the party. Again. Leh sigh.

I had a good week! I've really trimmed back on my dairy, which is something I never wanted to do, because I LOVE cheese, but it really helped. I dropped 2 more pounds, bringing my total weight loss to 30 pounds exactly. I'm rewarding myself by getting a nose ring. And I'm crazy excited, but also a little nervous. Anyone else have one done?

I've also tentatively started the Couch to 5K program, but I think I'll probably be on day1 for about a week. My biggest problem with running is that I have ginormous, insanely large boobs. And it makes running very, very, very uncomfortable. I'm batting around the idea of wearing 2 bras simultaneously, a regular underwire bra and a sports bra, to help mitigate this.

QOTW: Camping with my family. We do it every year, and it's always a blast. Someday, DH and I are going on the honeymoon we never had, but this is not the year. I still have fun planning it though.

That is FANTASTIC! I'm doing backflips for you! I have not successfully completed day one yet. I'm blaming my boobs. They almost knocked me out when I tried. Trying again tonight, though.

    I will prevail!

  • I'm new to the checkin! My goal is to be at my wedding weight. We got married in December 2012 and I've gained about 30 lbs if IF weight. Stepping on the scale at the RE yesterday was an eye opener. I have never been this heavy in my entire life. I think that I am going to begin Weight Watchers, that has worked for me in the past. My biggest weakness is most definitely sweets. I don't buy them but DH will buy me a "treat" when I'm feeling down. Which is thoughtful but I've gained 30 lbs!
QOTW: we are planning a trip up north for a week in July. Staying at a house on the lake with my family should be nice and relaxing.

You will get there girl I know it!  It was tough, but yesterday I was determined.  Also, I have my nose pierced and I love it.  Although I didn't love getting a cold the day after it was pierced.  I didn't get mine done until i was about 26 or 27 and I wished I had it done sooner.

@futuremrsbaldwin2012 I do weight watchers too.  It is a great plan!  I've been slack about tracking lately, but my excercise has helped pick up that slack.
