I hope no one has posted this. The top names for 2013 have been released! Needless to say my kid didn't make the list Lolz Here's the link and I'll list em for the lazy bones who don't wanna open it.
Olivia is number 3. I have a name that wouldn't even make the list in the US. I always felt awkward about it as a kid. I'm starting to see the other side of it now having a child with such a popular name.
DS didn't make the top 1000. I have a very unusual name. I didn't think DS was too unusual, but I think it is considered an older name as of right now. Which I like different so all is well. There were some names on the top 1000 that surprised me!
HA! Aisling isnt anywhere in the top 1000. I'm sure if the list was compiled in Ireland it would be a different story. The Anglicized Ashlyn, however ranked 254.
Damn. Mila has moved way up. I always hated having a popular name. I would change the spelling and variations all the time. My friends hated it. Cathi Kathee Cally Cate is where I am now.
Eta. Ok I'm an idiot or I need my eyes checked. I read #6 Mia as Mila. Doh!
Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks. Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks. Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!
Josephine is ranked #160 and Beauregard...isn't LOL His name hasn't ranked in the top 1000 in the last 14 years, which is as far back as those specific lists go, apparently.
I knew we'd be top 10 (Abigail) - we took that into consideration when we decided, but loved the name too much to pass it up. Plus it's not as popular in our area.
The state by state ranks haven't been released yet. I'm curious to see that. In NY/NJ you get a lot of the old school names like Christopher, Michael, Anthony. I guess there are a lot of JRs running around these parts. #italiansloveJrs
Joseph is #20. Not surprised. I am happy to see that our next choice for a boy is #88 and our choice for a girl isn't in the top 1000 the way that we are going to spell it. The generic spelling for it is #283 though. Not too bad.
Eleanor is 106. We choose it for family significance and the fact that it wasn't super popular but I know there is a few other bumpies who used it also so I'm not surprised really

Re: TOP 2013 names!!!!
Audrey was number 38 last year. A little high but I still love it.
Eloise was #338 last year. That's up 600 ranks since 2009.
My oldest is Rion, and Orion (the reason we spelled it that way) is #399. We chose that spelling after a friend that passed away.

In 2000 it was #60, in 2011 (when he was born) it was #174. In 2013 it was #214.
DS2's name (Maxwell) was at #108 on 2013.
