What are you doing to stay active: I've been walking LO daily and doing floor excersizes. But as of yesterday I started running I did 2 miles and it was HARD!!

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: wall sits and crunches with my yoga ball have been helping I can feel the burn in the morning.

What's your goal?: need to loose the 50 pounds left from the 75 I gained!

    What's your plan this week:
I'm going to continue to run the track I created and try and beat my time. 3 times this week is my goal.

How do you feel: I feel good, I feel ready to start. No more pain or bleeding and my dr cleared me so I say it's go time!

  • 6 weeks PP and got cleared to exercise last Friday!! This week I went on 2 short runs, 20 minutes of spinning and I take the kiddos for a 45 min walk everyday. Running is HARD. I ran a half marathon last June now I can barley eek out a mile. I only gained 55 with twins but somehow I'm still 30lbs overweight?!?! I haven't lost any in the last 3 weeks so I know this is going to be a difficult journey. At some point this week I need to get out my Up band and sync My Fitness Pal. It feels great to run but I'm also pretty discouraged. It's really hard to find time to do anything with twin babies.

How many weeks PP: 2 weeks

What are you doing to stay active:
I attempt to walk to the post office (1 mile) if baby will let me.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: not really doing much

What's your goal?: be healthy. I'd like to get down to my wedding weight. I'm not sure how much I weigh. I feel skinny without my huge baby belly though!

What's your plan this week: get the hang of doing more around the house with baby. She cries when I put her down.

    How do you feel:
Still a bit sore from 2nd degree tear and hemis, and from sitting too much. And a little depressed.
  • 9 weeks pp tomorrow. I waited a little longer to start working out because my internal incision is still tender.

I do the beach body workouts, specifically Brazil Butt Lift (love it) i will lift with DH in the evenings. I can't wait to start running. I'm going to ease back into that.

I have about 5lbs left of baby weight and I wouldn't mind 10 more after that!

Feeling great and excited to be active again!!

How many weeks PP: 4 weeks

What are you doing to stay active: occasional walks with LO and just started doing arms 3x a week with free weights & squats 2-3x a week.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: I love running but haven't started back yet.

What's your goal?: lost 15 to get back to post-preg weight plus 10-15 more

What's your plan this week: rain is in the forecast all week so I'll hit up the treadmill and keep doing arms & squats. Focusing on food this week since I've been eating like garbage.

How do feel: not totally healed from the episiotomy but otherwise ok. If it weren't for that I would definitely feel up to doing more physically.
  • I'm 4 wks pp. I haven't been cleared for exercise yet , but I have gone on a few walks, nothing impressive. I need a few more wks to finish healing from the section before I really get going. I have restarted My Fitness Pal though. :)

  • How many weeks PP: almost 5 weeks

What are you doing to stay active: walking the dogs, some weight lifting for arms

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: haven't been able to do much yet. Just doing squats while holding my chunker is hard!

What's your goal?: loose weight!! I need to loose 20 lbs to get to where I started, ideally I would loose 30 lbs

What's your plan this week: not much, it just dumped snow!!! Probably just walks with the dogs

How do you feel: my incision is sore the lady few days so I have been trying to go a bit easier. How can you tell if it's the internal incision or the outer one?

Depressed that healing is taking so long, still 2 more weeks till my 6 week pp appt. I have a feeling it will be longer than that to feel 100% & ready to hit the running trails for real :(

    How many weeks PP:

What are you doing to stay active:

been bad lately, planning to start twice daily walks with both LOs

Any favorite excersizes that have been working:

    NA

    What's your goal?:

I've got 17 pounds to go to be back at my pre-pregnancy weight. I want to reach that and then some!

    What's your plan this week:

I'm starting the 24 day challenge with Advocare tomorrow!

    How do you feel:

Right now, gross but it's my own fault. I've not gotten out of th "I'm pregnant, I'll worry about calories later" mode.
    Tomorrow's a new start though!

What are you doing to stay active: Right now trying to go on a walk/stroll once a day with the baby. I'm finally no longer taking my pain meds, which is exciting, but I still get sore when I'm too active.

Any favorite exercises that have been working: Walking. I've also been bouncing on the yoga ball with LO, which isn't necessarily a real exercise, but counts a little, right?

What's your goal?: I have 19 more pounds to lose from the 63 I gained (hello, swelling at the end from preeclampsia)

What's your plan this week: MIL is leaving Wednesday, and that is when I would like to start doing a modified paleo diet (I started this before getting pregnant and it made me feel great). I'm not willing to give up alcohol, since I am really enjoying my 1/2 glass of wine a day, and I'm keeping in some whole food carbs, but am ditching the dairy and processed foods. When I did this before, I lost 12 lbs in a month, so I'm hoping this will kickstart the rest of this weight loss.

How do you feel: I actually feel like I look pretty good, so it's hard for me to acknowledge that I am still fairly overweight and still have so much to lose. I'm tired of feeling halfway normal, but not normal enough to do normal activities. Physically, though, I'm so much better than I was even a week ago, so I am celebrating that.

  • You asked for it, so I'm just gonna kick it off.

How many weeks PP: I will be 3 weeks on Wednesday.

What are you doing to stay active: nothing yet. Weather has been pretty crappy and haven't been up to it. Beautiful today though, so I plan on taking the double stroller out for the first time for a walk with both kiddos, then take DS to the park.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: not yet...

What's your goal?: I'm already below what I was when I got pregnant with LO, but I was 40 lbs from where I wanted to be. I have about 12 to get to my wedding weight, but I'd like to lose 10-15 more after that.

What's your plan this week: start walking every day, and I'd like to start an arm workout.

How do you feel: feeling pretty good physically, but I need to start moving. Getting impatient with DS and I know getting out and exercising will make us all feel better!

What are you doing to stay active: trying to start walking but keeping up with a 2 and 5 year old does it too

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: haven't really done any exercising yet

What's your goal?: lose the 30 pounds I have left from the 50 I gained and tone up

What's your plan this week: walk more and start arm/legs and abs/back

How do you feel: physically I feel great but feel overwhelmed with responsibility and afraid I won't have the time I need to dedicate to working out

Is anyone adding 500 cal for breast-feeding and your MyFitnessPal?

I started with 2,000 calories a day. I used to eat 1400 calories a day with it pre-pregnancy but I'm now EBF & am afraid it would destroy my supply plus I just feel like it's a little too low in general. However, I switched to 1,800 today bc I haven't noticed any progress. I guess to answer the question, lol, yes, I did add in extra calories a day for BF. The app told me to eat like 1,200 a day & I just set my own goal. The 500 is included into my 1,800 if that makes sense.

    Edit:
However, I think each persons daily caloric number is unique, what works for me doesn't work for everyone. I read on the BF board how a lot of girls who went below 2400 cals a day lost their supply so I think BF moms have to play with it a little to find the number that makes them lose weight w/o impacting supply.

What are you doing to stay active: trying to take DD and DS for a walk most days of the week then going to the gym to do interval walking and weights (just started last week)

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: nothing has worked yet- I just got myself back to the gym last week and I didn't really push myself since I wasn't 6 weeks.

What's your goal?: to lose 40 pounds. It's a bit overwhelming!

What's your plan this week: get to the gym at least 5 days. Do some weights at least two of those days.

How do you feel: physically I feel goods mentally not so much, I am VeRY self conscious about my body right now.

I added 250- I read that breastfeeding can up UP TO 500 and the range is somewhere between 250-500 so I stuck with the lower number. I will up it if I notice changes in my supply (if I can get stick to my diet plan- food is my weakness!!!)

@Holljade‌ I feel you on the overwhelming part. I can't even come close to my pre preg pants they won't even go over my thighs :(
I just have to tell myself if I stay committed and active as watch my sugar intake there's no way It doesn't give me some results. The problem is I'm not used to seeing myself like this so it's mentally hard to handle.

What are you doing to stay active: lifting weights, gardening, about to start Jillian michaels.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: I've only been lifting so far. I can see a slight difference in my arms. Before pregnancy Jillian michaels worked really well for me.

What's your goal?: I have 4-6 more pounds to lose to get to pre-preg weight. After that I want to lose 20-30 more.

What's your plan this week: start my third week if 5/3/1 and maybe start some DVD routines. Also work on meals.

How do you feel: pretty good. I overdid it last week and had a few days of being really sore. Hoping not to repeat that.

    Good luck ladies!

What are you doing to stay active: taking LO on long walks. Waiting to get cleared by the dr to do more!

Any favorite exercises that have been working:
Not yet, but I'm hopeful that adding some core strengthening and eventually running will help!

What's your goal?: i have about ten lbs to go before I'm at my pp weight, but would love to drop 5-10 extra.

    What's your plan this week:
Start logging in myfitnesspal and walk with LO at least 4 times this week.

    How do you feel:
I feel kind of stuck. Almost like I've gained a little weight even though I know I haven't. Hoping an exercise routine will help me get out of this funk I'm in.

    How many weeks PP: 3.5

What are you doing to stay active: not a whole lot yet since I'm still bleeding, but I am trying to get out for walks more often now.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: walking has always been the most successful weight loss exercise for me. I have ran two marathons but gained weight with those--walking just works best for me because it doesn't mess with my appetite. That said I can't wait to start jogging again!

What's your goal?: 15 lbs (10 to go to prepregnancy weight but I lost weight in the first tri and liked that weight better, heh)

What's your plan this week: eat healthier! DH and I have been terrible lately. We are so lazy.

How do you feel: feel awesome but just won't stop bleeding :(

What are you doing to stay active: daily walks (about 40min), started light weight training with the hubs yesterday. Haven't been cleared for physical activity yet so nothing over 5lbs and just upper body stuff.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: running up and down the stairs every time I have to change a diaper or get a bottle ready!

What's your goal?: lose the other 30lbs from the 50 I gained, and another 15 after that. I would love to see my fighting weight of 140 again!

What's your plan this week: keep walking every day and no cheating on food. Hubs is making us smoothies every day to boost our fruit and veggie intake, and we have plenty of lean protein and whole grain carbs in the house.. No more ice cream!!

How do you feel: from the belly button up, amazing. From the belly button down, absolutely disgusting. At least the stitches from my second degree tear are healing up and my crotch isn't making me wanna die anymore.

What are you doing to stay active: Walking the dog, ab excersizes

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: planks

What's your goal?: to lose 20 lbs and hopefully go down to a sz 6

What's your plan this week: start running 3x a week, add arm and leg routine in 2 x a week

How do you feel: Hopeful, but also a lil down. I have hit my pre preg weight but am still up 1-2 sizes from my pre preg jeans size darn it! I caved this weekend and bought a couple sz 12s so I have something other than maternity jeans to wear. But it did motivate me to start up My Fitness Pal and just today I bought a Fitbit Flex as a mothers day present to myself, so hoping that will kick up my motivation a notch.

What are you doing to stay active: walking three times a week either pushing the stroller or baby wearing. Yoga once a week (mommy baby yoga class). Baby wearing at home.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: walking lots of hills when the weather is nice

What's your goal?: lost my pregnancy weight in six weeks but really want to drop 10 more.

What's your plan this week: went to yoga today. Try to get out of the house when it's sunny.

  • How many weeks pp: 1 week, 1 day

What are you doing to stay active: love to run but am walking to the end of our street entrance and back, which is about 3.1 miles 2-3x per week or with the stroller/baby. It's almost 100 degrees here in AZ so won't be able to do that everyday. Then, working out the other days on our treadmill, free weights and stomach crunches.

Plan this week: Do above everyday without fail.

My goal: Lose 5-10 lbs and tone up! Lost a lot and most all of the 20lbs I gained, but I need to tone and am always struggling with my butt :/.

How do you feel: Annoyed that I am bleeding heavily, but my soreness has gone away.

  • How many weeks PP: 2 1/2

What are you doing to stay active: walls to the mailbox. That's all I'm really cleared for right now.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: short walks- try to do one daily.

What's your goal?: short term- to be back to running in a few months.
Long term- I had been training for a 1/2 marathon before getting pregnant. I've been overweight my whole life and want to be able to be in a better place physically.

What's your plan this week: keep up the walks, make good food choices.

How do you feel: bleh. It sucks being sore when I'm actually motivated to exercise!

    How many weeks PP: 2.5.

What are you doing to stay active: Nothing yet. DH just went back to work today and I haven't really adjusted to life with two kids yet.

Any favorite exercises that have been working: I used to like swimming and jogging but I haven't done anything yet.

What's your goal?: Ultimately, to lose about 25-30 pounds total which puts me in the weight range that was "ideal" for me before both pregnancies. As it stands right now I'm still 10 pounds over my most recent pre-pregnancy weight.

What's your plan this week: Not much but I may make a conscious effort to do a little walking if the weather is nice. I'd like to be aware of what I'm eating as well, but I am not interested in counting calories yet.

How do you feel: Mixed. I'm not historically the best person at having a positive body image, but considering I'm just over 2 weeks postpartum and haven't done anything fitness related I feel pretty good about the way I look. I expected worse at this point.

On nice days LO and I go on a 3.5 mile walk or H takes LO when he frets home from work so I can go yo the gum. When LO does tummy time, I do it too.

Goal is to tone back to pre pregnancy body and lose the last 3 lbs. i also need to get back in my pre preg pants. I can button them but it isn't pretty.

This week is all gym workouts since the weather is poopy. Elliptical for 30 minutes plus core during the day.

Feeling good, I gained 25 and 20 dropped in the first week pp. the last few have been hard!

What are you doing to stay active: taking my DD for long walks when it's not raining... (I'm definitely not doing enough!)

Any favorite excersizes that have been working:

What's your goal?: to lose 10-15 pounds to get to my pre-pregnancy weight. It's hard because I have to eat so much to keep my supply up

What's your plan this week: you've all inspired me to add in more exercises like crunches and arm stuff

How do you feel: I feel great but don't have a lot of energy and I know it's because I'm not exercising enough (well and because of lack sleep)
  • How many weeks PP: 5 weeks 1 day

What are you doing to stay active: i have been doing body weight squats and free weight arm exercises. I just started gardening this week, and today took my pup or a two mile run. Felt so great to get outside and run!

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: just started - can't weight to get back into my crossfit football routine.

What's your goal?: lose the remaining 9-10 pounds from pregnancy, and get back into the shape I was in. Although I don't have a bunch if weight to lose, I was very toned from crossfit and I'd like to tone and tighten everything again.

What's your plan this week: continue to run 3-5 times this week, garden, walk the dog and baby 3-4 times, continue squats and arms. Hopefully throw some lunges & orher exercises in the mix as well.

How do you feel: good! So glad to be starting something physical other than housework and going for walks.

    Good luck everyone else!!

How many weeks PP: 3 weeks 3 days

What are you doing to stay active: I have been going for walks several days a week with both kiddos and the dog.  Most pushing the double stroller.  Also been wearing DD around the house to do housework.

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: I won't be cleared to start working out again for a couple more weeks.  I do have a treadmill, rowing machine and rebounder that I'm looking forward to using, along with running and cycling, plus a bunch of pushup and crunch variations that I learned when I was doing martial arts.  Looking forward to getting back into all of that.

What's your goal?: I'm actually back to my pre pregnancy weight, but I gained 30 lbs before I got pregnant, I am looking forward to dropping that and just getting into shape.

What's your plan this week: Continue to walk.

How do you feel: Feeling good, though it feels like everything is trying to escape through my lower abs when I've jogged even a few feet with DS.  Clearly I'm going to have to do some ab exercises and low impact stuff before I start my ultra-marathon training. ;)

What are you doing to stay active: before I was cleared I took walks...now that I'm cleared I have been going on my elliptical at home for 35+ min. I also practiced yoga again once and because LO hasn't been napping very long without me holding him I haven't been able to practice as much as I would like. Soon though I hope to get back to the yoga studio...depends on DH's work schedule....and my pumping schedule

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: I can't seem to lose any more weight..:since I've been home from the hospital by body has held onto the 25lbs that i need to lose

What's your goal?: to get back to my pre-prego weight (so that I'm also back to my weight watcher goal)

What's your plan this week: elliptical training and hopefully yoga

How do you feel: I feel so terrible because my clothes don't fit and ashamed really. I can't help but think about quitting BFing so that I can diet hardcore. I know that it's terrible to think in such a vane way but it's true...I'll be ashamed when I have to buy new clothes (which I know will happen and I'll be shopping at the consignment shop because I don't want to spend the money).

I can't help but think that my body needs this extra weight to support BFing...

my sisters just started me on beachbody workouts so I have started with hip hop abs.
Not really any specific workouts yet that are working.
my goal is to maybe lose another 5-10 lbs and mainly get my abs back in shape.
plans this week are to keep up with my video, only on the third day and already dont want to. But have my workout clothes on so I better get it done!
  • You asked for it, so I'm just gonna kick it off.

How many weeks PP: 3 wks

What are you doing to stay active: walks with LO and doing squats and lunges while holding her when I walk her around the house

Any favorite excersizes that have been working: I am not cleared for full on exercise yet so just sticking mostly with walking for now.

What's your goal?: sill have 15 lbs to lose

What's your plan this week: just keep walking and make sure I eat healthier.

How do you feel: pretty good really for 3 wks pp, but I am anxious to drop some more lbs so I can wear more of my clothes. It is getting warm and all of my maternity/fat clothes are for cool weather.
