Bleeding anyone?(update 5/18)

Hi ladies, I'm due nov 7th with my second lo. I have had vaginal bleeding and today it was so severe that it was a threatened miscarriage

. I ended up in the er and they did all the blood tests urine and did an ultrasound. Lo was kicking around and measuring a week ahead. The heartbeat was 147. But I'm told light duty at work(no lifting over 20 lbs). Anyone have any bleeding this far? Are you on bed rest? What did your ob or midwife say? Thanks ahead of time!

So I've been doing ok. No more bleeding for now. I'm still on lite duty. Went to my ob and he said I'm ok and the baby has a good strong heartbeat.

. All of my blood work was normal and my ultrasound said my placenta is anterior(again, had it with dd). So we shall see at the 20 week ultrasound how things are going. They say it's harder to feel the baby moving about with anterior placenta but I can feel this one! I didn't feel dd until 25 weeks. I'm 15+2

Glad everything is okay!

No bleeding with this pregnancy, but I did with DS.

Any time you go to the ER for bleeding, they are going to do the same thing: call it "threatened miscarriage", and tell you to take it easy and don't lift heavy stuff. ER docs are not OBs.

I had some light bleeding and my dr took me out of work for a week and told me not to lift ( no limit). I think I was taken out of work because I am a higher risk with twins. She really wanted me to take two weeks off, but I couldn't take off that much work and the babies were doing fine so she let me go back after a week. She even threatened overnight hospitalization depending on my u/s and if I continued bleeding. Luckily I stopped pretty quickly.

Yes! This just happened to me 3 days ago after going a bit overboard with cleaning my house. Bright red blood just once... Theb spotting since. Doctor said it's normal and no sex for 2 weeks but that's it.

follow up with your OB. it's possibly you have a SCH. ER ultrasounds are typically not very high tech.

I agree with @carcrashheart‌ def get in to see your OB next week. Sorry you are dealing with this!

I had this happen while on a 20 hour flight back from Thailand...moderate amount of bleeding. Luckily my OB fit me in the next day and everything checked out okay but it was a little scary (especially the whole being stuck on an airplane part).

I have had bleeding for 3 weeks now. On rest because of a large SCH. I would get them to do another ultrasound.

I stop bleeding/spotting at 13 weeks. I'm due November 8th, my Dr. told me the bleeding could be from a SCH, scar tissue and sex from prior surgeries. I was on bed rest, so just try to relax hun. I'm sorry that you have to experience this, but I'm happy to hear that your Sunshine is doing good.

I had spotting between my 7th and 8th week and again at the start of my 12th week, which lasted two days. Had my NT scan on Friday and thankfully, everything looked great. They're not sure what is causing my spotting, but it is scary when it happens. I was also told to take it easy, not lift anything heavy (kind of tough when you have a toddler) and no strenuous exercise. FX that everything turns out well with you too!

I had some spotting.. I can't lift anything over 5 pounds. I had DS premature ( premature rupture) from heavy lifting. I'm not taking any changes. When I spotted this time it was because I was changing my bedroom around n tried to slide my heavy dresser. I guess too much strain cuz I started spotting the next day. Went to ER LO was fine. I'm 12 weeks and since then no spotting. Take it real easy n take care of yourself. Good luck!

I am sorry your are going through this. I had some spotting in the 1st tri and some very light spotting on Friday, but everything is OK so far. I hope you and the LO are fine!

I have bleeding but I have blood clots, they put me on Lovenox. But I've never had a normal pregnancy so who know's I'm just grateful this is somewhat normal.

Did they test you for Protein K deficiency? Thats what I have, also they put me on Medrol its a steroid that prevents pregnancies!

I have a large SCH .. I started gushing blood Easter weekend and went to the ER .. they told me the same thing,threatened M/C .. I went to see my midwife that monday morning and they saw the SCH on U/S .. its quite large and I have had brown drainage since then .. enough to wear a pad everyday ... at my 12 week appt this past thurs it was still there ... I expect the bleeding to last for a while .. I had a smaller one with DS and I bleed for SEVERAL weeks ... they told me as long as it stays brown its ok .. the baby was fine ... Just told me to take it easy .. ( thats not easy with a 14 mo old and working full time ) .. its a challenge for sure.. thankfully my DH is being really helpful.. but my DS is the only thing I lift and usually that only to put him in the high chair or changing table .. Good luck to you .. I hope the bleeding stops and all is OK .. Is so scary to see that blood !!!!

Yup, mine is an SCH. I started gushing blood on 4/11/14 with large clots. I went in and there was a hb and you could see a very large SCH next to the baby. I bled for almost four weeks and last Wednesday the RE told me it was almost gone. We tried to finally have sex last night and I started bleeding again today. Grrrr.
