POAS - delayed result?

Happy Mother's Day!

Ok, so DH and I are in Thailand, and as any klassy person would do, I POAS in a bar tonight to see if I should drink or not. I am 1 day late and have been feeling kind of weird, like I threw up on the plane and have been getting flashes of "OMG, I'm going to get pukey if I don't get air conditioning soon." That's kind of normal for a turbulent flight and 100 degree temps, but anyway.

I bought the test at the mall and then we weren't going home for a while, so I was going to wait but then got antsy and took it in the bar.

Anyway, so DH and I both looked at it and thought it looked negative but that maybe there was a faint faint line but probably not.

Now 3 hours later we're home (I put it in my purse in the plastic bag, I'm gross, I know), and there's a distinguishable but faint line.

Should I just test again in a few days since I didn't see the line until hours later? And not drink for the rest of the trip just in case?

There wasn't good lighting in the bar, and we were like 95% sure that we didn't see a line.

Also I am probably a psycho but I've taken tests out of the trash and looked at them hours later, and there was never a line later. I know the instructions say not to look at it after 10 minutes. Was just wanting some anecdotes like, "Oh, I did that, and turns out I was pregnant." Wishful thinking I guess.

I'll keep you updated when I test next week...or however long I can wait.

I took a test one Friday morning and it was negative. I looked at it again that night to see if I should drink. It was faintly positive. I tested again the following Tuesday with an immediate positive result. So you never know!

It is 1:30am here, and we're leaving early in the morning to go to an island, and I don't know how easy it will be to go buy a test there because we're not renting a car. It will be easier later this week. Plus if it's another squinter and hard to tell, I don't want to have to keep redoing it, so I'd rather wait until later to get a darker line or see if AF starts.

I would just poas the am after the bar night. But I like to poas if there's even a slight possibility.

Amazon had some really cheap ones and I bought a ton.

Dude, go to the island, enjoy a drink, test again in a few days.

My anecdote for the OP: when we were TTC #2 I tested one morning and thought it was a BFN. Got in the shower, and later while I was still in the bathroom getting ready I glanced again and saw a faint line. Tested again the next morning with a digital and it was a BFP.
