My baby has been so smiley lately. He is happy as a clam when he wakes up. Also funny is when the dogs started barking randomly last night and it scared the bejeesus out of him and he started screaming. I felt bad for him but at the same time it was kinda funny the petrified look on his face.
It doesn't make me smile though that I have to take him to get his head scanned and possibly fitted for helmet on Wednesday. Positional plagiocephaly.
IMMS that E didn't want me to leave this morning. Since we switched to the nanny, she has been so happy to give me a hug and kiss goodbye and go play with the nanny and her new friend. Which is good, I'm glad she's happy. But her clinging to my leg and not wanting me to go today made me feel good. It also made me smile that we ALL waited for ITK to get back, and we didn't have our babies without her. And IMMS that she's back! Now come on babies!

G calls pigs "wee wees" (we have a little puppet book for the "this little piggy went to market" rhyme, and he loves that the last little piggy says, "wee, wee, wee"). So he calls his TB 3 Little Pigs diaper his wee wee diaper, and it makes me giggle every time!
@secretagentkate That's pretty awesome for a 5 year old! How cute!
IMMS: I got a promotion like 3 months ago. I've been doing part of both jobs since then, because they had a hard time finding a good replacement for me. They finally hired a replacement a couple weeks ago. I haven't had time to train him, so my old boss did it...in 2 days. I told her there was no way she could train in less than 2 weeks. He just royally screwed something up. I kind of find it funny, because now I get to swoop in say "I told you so", and save the day.
Also D is at the part of the school year where there's a field trip or some other special event like every other day. He's been so excited to go to school, which is nice to see.
G's speech is starting to get clear enough that other people besides me can tell what he's saying. This morning they were coloring at daycare when I droped him off. He walked over to the tub of crayons, pulled out a handful and said "Tha lellow?" (Is that yellow?) and the teacher answered him!!
It made me smile to see our relatives and L's cousin at his cousin's birthday this weekend. Everyone commented that L is so friendly and happy. It was also great to see how much his one day older cousin has changed in the last few months.
It made me smile to have a CD mom get together at Cotton Babies in Vancouver. It was just going to be two of us, but there happened to be 5 other moms there at the same time. We talked CDs and helped another mom with her questions.
Last it made me smile. L can wave hi and bye now by opening and closing his hand. DH says he's been working on it with him, but I hadn't noticed them. Good job, DH and L!
IMMS that the Jan '14 board has a discussion about sposies. Someone's 16lb baby is blowing out of every size 3 (16-28lb diaper) and they are wondering if they should move to size 4. Also, a while back they were wondering about how to tell if they should move to the next size diaper. Most of the suggestions said to just move to the next size when their baby reached the wieght limit on the current diaper. SMH. I wanna be all like "Just use cloth! That solves all the problems!!"
IMMS because last night I was looking back through all the pictures and videos on my phone from birth to now. Really I'm just trying to convince myself that I am happy because work is really pizzing me off this morning. We need squish pics to make us all smile.

I'm working on it! Stop pressuring me!
Maybe if we apply a little pressure she'll just shoot right out. ;-)
Don't think I've posted here in a while, if ever since starting my new account. But I wanted to join in and say IMMS that my brother and SIL are expecting their second. Hoping I can hold off for a while myself, but I know once I see their newborn I'll go crazy.
I have another one! My local CD group has a mentoring program to pair newbies with more experienced cloth users. I just got assigned a mentee, and I get to meet with her Thursday
IMMS that yesterday I had to do absolutely none of the diaper changes. Or any child care really. I got to play with DS, and then go do my own stuff when I was tired of him or he was being too loud. DH is really good at helping me out usually but yesterday was really nice that I could just zone out whenever I needed to.
(And it wasn't even Mother's Day here in England!)
Well color me ignorant. I didn't even realize... I just assumed... Do you have a different Mother's Day there? Or not one at all? Also, how did I never know that you were in England?

have you all seen How the Grinch Stole Christmas? (Cartoon version). Do you remember the part where the Grinch looks behind him to see the dog, Max riding the sled instead of pulling it? And Max waves by stretching his arm way up and waving?
That's how M waves: arm straight up, touching his head, saying hi in his sweet, high pitched baby voice. So sweet!

I told her "bed" since if she lays down she usually stops barking. But if that fails she needs to go to her kennel which is "bedtime".
DS was saying "bao bao bao" and "dao daooo" which is dog I think.
I can't wait until I can figure it out more.
