Mine is not going quite like I had hoped. DS1 has been up puking since 3:30am. Nothing like changing sheets and cleaning to start your morning. DH took care of him from 4am to 8am, and I've been up since then, with DS2.
Happy Mother's Day too! I got flowers on Thursday already, as we are gone for the weekend. We are leaving in a few hours. DH told me that he and DS are taking me out for supper if we get home early enough! I have my prenatal massage, which was my present, booked for Fri.

Happy Mother's day! I got to sleep in! I heard DH arguing with DS this morning over whether or not daddy was capable of getting him his breakfast which was kind of funny. I also got three bouquets of flowers (well two were dandelion bouquets) and I got to remove a tick from my son's head. I know you are all very jealous of the later! We were going to go on a hike today, but we have all had enough nature for the day! We are going out to lunch instead.
So far, DS2 and I are the only ones awake in the house. I'm going to get a massage, and a facial at 11 (not a mothers day gift, just a late Bday gift from my sister that I happened to book today). Then I'm going to come home and make enchiladas for dinner.
Here it's the anti-mother's day as determined by DH... He's got to have his gallbladder out (surgery is scheduled) and has put himself on a "I don't know WTF low fat diet and no (deep)fried food actually means, but I'm going to annoy the hell out of you all anyway" diet (I've made plenty of low fat options since he started this only for him to snub them all) so he wouldn't let the rest of us go to Mother's Day brunch with the IL's at a nice restaurant near here... Then he has to work mid-afternoon, so of course, left the kids in their jammies with me unshowered yet while he went to church - ALONE... Yea - I'm just a little :-O X( at this point...
Happy Mother's Day!! Mine has been sweet and calm so far. The girls shopped with DH yesterday and today everyone has been on their best behavior. Just enjoying time together. Plus DH picked out a bunch of dark chocolate I love, so yum.

Sorry about this. On the gallbadder removal - I had one about five years ago. He will pay for it on the toilet if he eats fatty foods once it's removed.
Not necessarily. I had mine out and it effected nothing. I can eat nothing but fried cheese and chicken tenders and still be fine lol
Thanks for the well wishes!!! For most people I know this is the case - and in many cases their food options greatly increased beyond imagination from what they were prior to having the work done.
The only thing I'm more concerned about is that DH's family is pretty much flaked out when it comes to any level of helping out. I kid you not, BIL's response to DH asking if he could pick up DD from school because she goes to a school out of the district so no bussing... "Oh, uh, it'd work out better for me on Wednesday(that week - and NOT one of the options available for scheduling DH in)"... My family is four hours each way away and if we were closer it'd be a completely different situation such that I wouldn't have to worry about the kids all week or until DH was ambulatory again.
Re: Happy Mother's Day
