Silly question. I've got a decent freezer stash built up. I've got probably ten bags that I froze upright before a genius on here suggested freezing them flat to save room. I've been freezing them flat since reading that, but was wondering if there's any way I could partially thaw the other bags in the fridge long enough to get them slushy, then refreeze them flat. I wouldn't be thawing them all the way.
Is this safe or do I just suck up the fact that those ten bags take up more space than the other 20+?
Re: Silly thawing question...
As an aside, I did the cool gift bag thing! You cut a slot on the bottom of an old gift bag, and then fill the bag up with your flat packets. As you pull them out one at a time, you get your oldest bags dropping down first. Brilliant!
