Shitty Weather

Stay safe, mommas!

It looks like some pretty nasty weather is brewing out there. I'm a freaking nervous wreck. DH will leaving shortly to work an overnight and that means that I will be home alone with DD all night as this weather makes its way to us. Wtf am I supposed to do if there is a tornado tonight while we are sleeping? We live in an apartment on the second floor. I'm freaking out. I've always been scared of severe weather, but with DD it's ten billion times worse.

I need a fucking Xanax.

    Before DD was born (and pregnancy) I would just get drunk during storms. I soooo wish that were an option now.

    We do have a weather radio, thankfully. I'm just so damn nervous that it's going to go off in the middle of the night.

    My closest family is about an hour away and I have to work in the morning. I could, but it would be a pain in the ass.

    Nope. He would have to deal with trying to keep everything running where he works. It sucks. He also works an hour away, so even if he did get to leave due to weather, it wouldn't make sense for him to come home.

    This Iowa weather make me hope even more that I get the promotion that I applied for in Utah.

    I ended up driving the hour to my parents house at 8pm. So glad that I did!! The storms here ended up far less severe, and the storms where I live were tornado warned (still are). I'm SO glad that I made the right choice and left.
