I went to a party with a lot of 18 month olds, and they all seemed to gravtitate towards me. One just stood and stared at me. I'm usually popular with kids, but this was over the top. One just stood and stared at me for 10 minutes. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Re: Weird attention from kids?
My 7th grade son is now earning popularity points with the girls in his school over my pregnancy! They keep asking when the baby is coming, for details, how she will be "soooo cute" and how it is "so awesome" he will have a baby sister at home. The boys r not as interested in details about the baby, they r more interested in the way my tummy is growing.
These behaviors seem to correlate to middle school hormones, human growth and development classes, etc. At least those r my theories on it...

last week, i was about to sit in the last seat on a train, and i kid you not, this perhaps 28-year old "man" literally races down the train car and slips into the seat. promptly puts his phone in front of his face and tries to ignore all the indignant reactions. it was pretty unbelievable. and then, no one else offered me a seat.
the next day, i was on a full train, but not like packed-in-there crowded. after a few stops, a middle-aged woman exasperatedly, and loudly, says "fine, i guess I will give the pregnant woman a seat. sheesh!"
i don't envy you your orange line riding, either. good luck
