Work week went by super fast, we were very busy! I work in a pediatric dental office and love it! I love working with the kids all day, but I especially love working with my special needs patients. They have a way of making you appreciate simple things in life that I tend to take for granted. Gives me a reality check most days!
This week was good. Thursday we did a 36 mile training bike ride. It kicked my butt. Also went to a meeting where lunch was catered. Woot woot free food.
Qotd: favorite part is that it is ever changing the days are never the same. I also love being outside.
This week flew by. This coming week is super busy as well. Lots of concerts, parent meetings and a memorial day parade to plan for.
My favorite thing to do at my job is see the kids graduate. I start them in 4th grade in music...so to see them grow up an into big human beings is amazing.
Was a quick week for me since we were moving, and I only worked a half day on Wed...I was also off yesterday, so I am going into a 4d work week. We in the "slow" season before we gear up for Memorial Weekend and the start of the summer travel season...Its gonna be a long summer.
QoTW - My favorite thing about my job is the people I have become friends with. While I do not like most of my coworkers, there is a small group of us who get along swimmingly.
This week was pretty good, a friend of mine received a promotion into the supervisor position in our department so that's awesome.... other than that there's nothing else going on!
My favorite part of my job is the level of freedom that I have from my manager. She trusts me to do my job and not waste time. The level of trust makes me feel appreciated.
My work week is pretty standard, 8 to 4:30, five days a week.
My favorite thing about my job is that it's fulfilling on an emotional level--what I do directly benefits students. I'm an editor for a school district, editing all documents and written materials. Once in a while, I'll have a really fulfilling victory. Once, I found a mistake where a document listed the incorrect due date for elementary school applications. If I hadn't caught that, several thousand kindergartners would have been shut out of their desired school. That felt really good.
I feel bad responding to this post, because my answer is always the same. Work is work. I do the same thing, at a computer, day in and day out. Nothing changes. It's highly repetitive and quite annoying.
QOTD: My favorite thing about my job is the freedom. As long as I meet my deadlines, I don't have anyone micromanaging my every move. Ever wonder how I have so much time to bump during the day? ;-)

I can agree with @MommyKristin88 about not being micro-managed...I work from home, my boss is in Florida and my coworkers are throughout the country. Granted I'm on the phone a lot but can at least use my speakerphone all the time. Someday I'll probably have to return to the office (if/when I change jobs...work for a large insurance company), so I really appreciate being home these days. The flexibility is awesome. Get your work done and participate in meetings - good to go.
I have a mostly normal work week...mostly 8-4 M-F...sometimes a bit later, sometimes a little time on the weekend, depending what my group is working on. But if DD has a doc appt in the middle of the day or something, no worries - I just make the time up somewhere else.
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO over pumping though - oh wait, time to start up again right now - thanks Outlook calendar for reminding me! I set it as a blank appointment on my claendar - I was once leading a large training over my computer and sure enough...a reminder for "pump" came up right in the middle of it. Likely no one caught it but still!!!
I'm actually probably going to stop pumping soon though. Before I was getting 20-22 oz between my 3 work pumpings. Now I'm lucky if I come home with 4 oz at the end of that. I still pump at the exact same times, for the same amount of time. Unfortunately, since getting pregnant my supply has dropped. We've already started supplementing (obviously or he'd be starving with my output). I'm currently dealing with cracked nipples that get irritated and bleed from just wearing a bra. Pumping for the last week has led to lots of tears and frustration from the pain and lack of milk. I'm trying to give myself permission to stop now. I'll feel like I will regret it, but I also feel like it's not necessary to continue.
@MommyKristin88 You have SO much going on - I can't blame ya for wanting to stop. And cracked nipples are the worst - had one early on and thankfully hasn't happened again.
This sounds so awful to say, but a good part of DD being in the NICU after her birth was that I was able to build a stash...and have been able to rotate through it, but its definitely dwindling. I get about 10 oz. over 4 pumps (still pumping every 2 hours to keep it flowing)...she takes up to 12 oz while at daycare (still a small fry), but I'm slowly losing my stash. I have to travel at the end of June for work and now I'm suspecting my stash won't cover those days... I might start supplementing a bottle each day soon to make the frozen stuff last.

Wait, do we have the same job? lol.
My job isn't as exciting as it can be because I'm still "the new girl". I'm not allowed to get into the nitty gritty type stuff just yet and it's annoying because I know I'm capable of it. But with management being in another state it's very hard to prove myself.
This week was extra difficult for me because I was not acknowledge in 2 separate cases on items that were highly visible for the very-very-high-up-management. I wasn't notified of this until it was already distributed to the VP so it's hard to chime in now and not look like a baby.
I'm struggling trying to find my fitting into this team. I've thought over and over (especially this week) that although this was the field I THOUGHT I wanted to be in, perhaps I should have accepted the other job offer I had pending when I instead accepted this one instead.
QOTD: I love that my job requires lots of int'l knowledge (business/customs/laws/etc). I love int'l business and hope to do lots of int'l travel because of this job - but unfortunately I'm very far from that point in my career at the moment.
I have 19 days until final exams!! (maybe 22 with students?) So things are pretty good here. On the down side, I'm STILL grading research papers. At least there's only 14 more to go. Then I have sophomore essays. So yeah, going to be grading until June.
My favorite part of the job is seeing how the students grow and mature throughout the year. It made my day when my husband (who teaches the older students) said that his were channeling my grading techniques when they did peer-editing in his class last week. Made me feel so good to know that they had learned something useful in my class.
Let me tell you about my day... Surprise visit from our District Manager and new Area President! Which is all fine and dandy except I had two of my employees unable to make it in. One is stuck in WY due to snowy highways being closed and the other had his engine blow up on his way in! (He's fine. His car is not) so it was just a teensy bit crazy around here.
Qotd- I have awesome benefits! I have a ton of pto that I get to use every year. So that's nice! I also love my team! It's a great group of individuals!

We didn't get any where I live but the mountain passes between here and Wyoming got a ton!

Daycare had a little Mother's Day tea party at the end of the day on Friday. I ended up missing it because a client assigned us a super last minute project with a ridiculous deadline. Oh well, at least LO is too little to be bothered that I missed it. This week DH is traveling for work for a couple days, and I am not looking forward to that.
The best things about my job are the casual dress code and the really good healthcare coverage.

@ludali Pumping is a pain in the ass.

Sorry for the novel...
