pjs

9 months are to kinda tight and 12 months are too big. what should i put her in to tight or to loose?

Re: pjs

  • We went up to the next size. I have to keep readjusting the feet when he plays in them in the morning, but that's better than scrunched feet and the diaper camel toe.

we have a shirt/pant pair, but it snaps together at the waist. Im hesitant to make her wear these to bed because she would be laying on the snaps all night long. do you think it would bother her or is it no big deal?
  • We mostly use shirt/pant pjs now. I usually put a short sleeve onesie on under to keep his belly out of the breeze if his shirt comes up. If it's chilly I'll put socks on.

We're using the big kid pjs too. Shirt and pants and yes it does make him seem like a toddler but still so cute.

  • Definitely go one size up. We still use sleepers sized 12 months. I already bought her 18 and 24 months sleepers for winter/spring. I am trying to avoid big kid pjs for as long as possible. ;)

  • Apparently I'm in the minority. I've been wearing big boy Jammie's on L since he's been born. I had a ton of pairs in size 0-3. I use footed sleepers on colder nights and 2 piece when it's warmer. He looks like such a big boy in them but I love them.

  • We switched to shirt/pants pjs and she's so much more comfortable...does make her look older but so cute. And I put socks on her bc her feet tend to get cold at night.

@majwv8, I'm considering making the switch too, mainly because it's a struggle to get E into the one-piece footies right now.  He does NOT want to be on his back on the changing table and I've yet to find a technique to get them on him that allows him to sit up.

(This makes diaper changes super-fun too.)

If you use jammies with snaps do up the bottom all the way to the crotch and slide them on his feet while he's seated then have him stand up to button the rest. Gia liked to kick off the feet as soon as I put them on so I started doing it this way to make life easier. I suppose you could do the same with the zippy jammies too, we don't like them so I'm not sure.

    exactly this.

Also, we always size up rather than done.  I think it's always more comfortable to be in too loose clothing than too tight/short.

  • I'm late to this party but I agree to go up a size. We just came out of 9 mo but the 12 mo aren't that much bigger and have really tight arms. Not impressed, Carters. But thanks for the rubber feet pads.
