Re: Time for a nursing party!
eta (posted too soon) last Mother's Day we went to the ILs for brunch, I had an almost 2yo. This time the ILs will come here because I have a 1month old & almost 3yo.
No idea what I did last Mother's Day. Probably went skiing or hiking with the dogs. This year I've got a human baby, 1 dog with a stitched up paw & my mom is visiting for the first time in 10 years! Sort of excited about it, but also nervous. Hopefully we don't kill each other during the week she is here!
Last Mother's Day I had just had my miscarriage and spent the entire day in bed crying. Today, I'll spend the entire day in bed taking care of my sick daughter. And that's absolutely ok.
This year the weather is beautiful so it's off to a park for a picnic and some playground time.

I can't remember exactly what I was doing last year, but I'm sure we were on the golf course at some point and went to my parents house as well. I do know that we were having frequent discussions about parenting together. We weren't even discussing marriage yet seriously yet somehow we knew having a child together was what we were supposed to do. Now I'm rocking our daughter after a night of uninterrupted sleep courtesy of DH getting up with her. I'm a blessed woman.
