Second tri discharge--anyone else experiencing it heavily???

Today I actually put in a call to our weekend nurses' line about some discharge I've had the last couple of days. It was alarming because (and I apologize if this is TMI) it started coming out in little squirts/tiny gushes instead of just randomly. I explained the full experience to the nurse, and she didn't seem too concerned. Thinks it may be vagionosis or just regular good old-fashioned discharge leaking. She had me do the left-side test, where I lay on my left side for an hour straight, then stood straight up and coughed. Only a miniscule amount of moisture appeared. Anyway, according to that test, this is not amniotic fluid.

But I am still just feeling off and worried about it. The discharge is normal-smelling (very earthy), clear with slight tinges of white, but it's just MORE than I've had an is enough to make me damp down there.

Anyone else have some experience with this in the second tri??? I am about to be 20 weeks.

Would love any anecdotal advice!

Thank you so much! I guess I am just, as a first time mom, so quick to assume the worst! I hate being that way.

I suppose I just thought, "Oh I'll never need panty liners, it won't be that bad." Haha I was wrong. Going to go to the store today and stock up. I have heard that as long as those don't become soaked, all is well?

Yes, normal. I've been wearing panty liners for a month or two now.

I started having a lot when i hit 3rd tri. It's terrible. I feel like I'm constantly leaking. Dr said its normal too but it's gross and concerning for me as well.

I've had a lot so far and it's all been perfectly normal. It's still pretty gross though.

LIke florida swamp-land down there. Totally normal. Was the same during my last pregnancy.

I had this with db #1, started in 2nd tri and went on till the very end. I had to wear a pantyliner all the time because it felt so gross. its normal. It hasnt started with this pregnancy yet, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be spared this time around.

I experienced a "gush" (ew sry) last Wednesday and went to my doc same day... It was bacterial vaginosis and I'm now on deathly awful antibiotics for it

I didn't have the typical BV symptoms though so keep an eye on it, wouldn't hurt to get it cultured since untreated BV can cause issues (doesn't always, but can)

I had a ton of water like discharge for about 2 weeks, and it increased with movement. My MFM's NP opted to do an ultrasound because I'm high risk. In the end it was normal discharge; mine is just on the watery side. Last pregnancy I had the same issue, tons of watery discharge, and it tested negative for amniotic fluid.
