Ok, this is a bit of a rant. I'm not at ALL against hand-me-downs (95% of this baby's wardrobe came from my neighbor who has 6 kids and recently moved). Pretty much everything I have for this baby is used or hand-me-down except for the obvious (car seat, crib/bassinet) and for that I am very grateful. The problem is that we are pretty much entirely set for this baby and EVERYONE (MIL, SIL, coworkers, friends, neighbors) is still unloading ALL of their used baby stuff on us, even when we told them we don't need anything else and we'll just need diapers/wipes (though we are mostly cloth diapering, and we already have all our stuff for that). It wouldn't be so annoying if I didn't have to constantly make trips to Goodwill, a 30 minute drive one way, to get rid of all this stuff. This is totally first world problems, but it's like we're drowning in stuff and we really don't have the space for it, so I really wish people would stop unloading their baby stuff on me (especially the broken and stained stuff, which seems like most of it). I'm a bit of a minimalist and it's driving me crazy. Anyone else have this problem?
Baby Zoey arrives Sep 14 2014!
Re: Stop giving me your used baby stuff!
This is for all the caterpillars that never became butterflies. And for all the butterflies that never felt the wind in their wings. And for all the hearts that had hopes and dreams of a wondrous flight together.
