baby sniffles

DD has a minor cough, has been sneezing, has sniffles and one watery eye. She is miserable. Ask she wants to do is nurse, sleep and scream. luckily, she doesn't have a fever, abd this explains her fussiness Thursday and sleepiness last night. We have an appointment Monday morning, a routine one, but I'll let the doctor know anyway. Any tips on handling a 6 week old with a cold?

  • We dealt with this last week. Saline drops in the nose, then suction out. Sleep on an incline and ped advised a cool mist humidifier.

  • My almost 4-week-old has sniffles, a tickle in his throat, and watery eyes. He's in his usual great, happy mood, he's nursing really well, sleeps fine, awesome diapers, and he doesn't have a fever. We're just trying to keep him from getting too stuffed up. Our doctor said saline drops in his nose helps to keep it clear, a bulb syringe to suck out thick boogers, and 1.25ml of infant Tylenol if he needs it for a sore throat or fever. This is day 3, and he's doing just fine. I hope our little ones feel a lot better super soon.
