How Far Along Am I Really?

Is it more accurate to go by the first day of my last period or what they told me from my first sonogram? It's only about a week's difference, but still I'd like to be accurate when I tell people I reached 12 weeks. That could be in 2 weeks or 3 weeks. I don't want to tell people too early.

  • Sonogram. You could have O'd or implanted later which could make your dates off.

They said according to my dates, Dec. 8th, but according to the sonogram Dec. 3rd.

Okay that's what I was going by but just wanted to be sure that was correct because I heard someone tell me they were 12 weeks, measuring at 13 weeks, and it started to make me wonder about it.
  • Early sonogram are much more reliable for dating than later ones because later on the babies are growing at different paces. :)

    I'd go with the sonogram!
RPL Panel, CD 3 BW, Karyotype, SIS all normal, We have a PLAN!

  • Sonogram for sure unless you know exactly when you ovulated, although if that's the case it would likely match right up with your u/s.
