@MrsBadKat for posting that thread about Plex.TV. I just set it up.
We're getting our cable cut and getting a Roku to save money, so I figured I'd see how much I liked Plex first. Holy shit, it's awesome.
Yes, this was worthy of its own thread.

    sign up for a Plex.tv free account. 
    Download the Plex Media Server to your computer. 
    Go here to download the unsupported app store 
    Then go to this thread for an explanation of how the unsupported app store works. Basically, the UAS opens in your Plex Media Server and you can use it to install unsupported channels to your Plex.
    I haven't gotten all of the unsupported channels to work. A lot of them do and have a great selection. Some good unsupported channels are
    ClickPlay
    LetMeWatchThis
    DiscoveryNetworks
    FilmOn
    IceFilms
    ISHO.WS
    ITV Player
    Logo TV
    Movie2K
    MTV Shows
    Rawranime
    SS Plex


    Plex also has a lot of good supported channels, Like Disney and Nick Jr. You just open yoour Plex Media Server, click Channels, click Install Channels and it will show you their supported channel directory
