Boob size while breastfeeding

I am 3 weeks before my due date. I will be a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding in early November. If I am breastfeeding then, what size should I expect my boobs to be? I was 34C pre pregnancy. Just got measured at. 36DD. Not sure how much I trust their measurement though. Will they be bigger or smaller after 5 months breastfeeding?

That depends on so many factors. Will you still be BFing? Will baby be dropping feedings at that point (which can sometimes lead to brief engorgement while your body adjusts) or eating more? Genetics? It really is hard to tell. Some women go up a cup size or two when their milk comes in but mine were just more firm. Before DS I was a 34C, after I was a 36DDD but dropped to a 36DD when I weaned him even though I hit DDD before he was even born/my milk came in. My BFF went up 2 cup sizes while pregnant and never lost any even after quitting BFing.

The specialists at the high-end bra store near me told me that your breast size will likely be settled by the time LO is 2 weeks old.  So if you're still BFing, you could get fitted when your baby is a few weeks old, and you should be good.  If you're no longer BFing at that point, it's difficult to forsee how your bust will change.

I probably have to order the dress before he is born. I'm planning on trying to get a big enough size and then getting it altered closer to the wedding date.

It's so hard to tell. If you lose the baby weight you'll probably go back down to a 34 band size, but who knows what your cup size will be. When I went back to work at 6w PP and started wearing proper bras again I noticed my boobs fluctuated over a cup size throughout the day. As in my bra was way too small just before a feeding/pumping and slightly lose right after a feeding. By 6months PP things were a lot more stable. But my bra size changed a lot up to a year PP as I lost the 50lbs I put on during pregnancy and DD started dropping feedings. Before DD I wore a 36B, at 6w PP I was in a 38C and by 9m PP 34D. Right now I'm a 38D / 40C

Unless you have psychic gifts, you'll probably save more money paying the "rush" fee to order your dress after the baby is born, rather than guesstimating size and paying for bust alterations (which are the trickiest area of the dress with the least seam allowance for manipulation).

It depends but my boobs were even larger while breastfeeding. I was a DD while pregnant and only wore comfy nursing bras that weren't cup sized so I'm not sure what size they went up to. Good luck!
