Curly hair help!

Hey all!  Our DD is 19 months old and has a head full of blonde ringlets.  When it rains we have a hilarious afro on our hands.
So far, we've found online a product called It's A Curl but haven't tried it yet.  They don't seem to have any sort of leave in stuff.
On a normal basis her hair is just really curly and maybe slightly frizzy.
Any ideas?

Re: Curly hair help!

  • We use California Baby leave in conditioner and a spray bottle to wet it down in the morning.

  • Shampoo minimally. DevaCurl is wonderful for when you do. You could also spray a little spray gel in wet hair and lightly scrunch, then keave it totally alone while it airdries. Whatever you do, don't cut bangs!
  • I have crazy curls and so does DD, but I really don't want to use product on her (she has many years ahead of her for that!).  If it's frizzy, I'll just put a tiny bit of conditioner in my hands and rub it into her hair and leave it in.  It takes just a small amount though so it's not greasy.

  • Thanks all!
We will try a bunch of these things.  So thanks so much for the input!  We ended up grabbing some spray mousse stuff from snip-its (kids hair cutting place) recently.  So far, it's working better than the detangler did!  It doesn't leave her hair greasy or crunchy.
Thanks for all of the advice!
