Ear wax removal

So, I have noticed my LO has a lot of ear wax (thanks for that gene, DH!).  I usually kind of clean it out with my pinky finger, NBD.

Today the pediatrician commented on the amount of ear wax, too.  She suggested that I get more agro with removal, saying that there was enough build up that she couldn't get a good look into his ear canal.  She suggested Debrox drops to soften and help remove the wax.

Does anyone have experience using Debrox?  How does LO react to it?  Oh how I wish there were a Nosefrieda for ears...!

    I've used those drops in my own ears since I have tiny ear canals and wax doesn't come out on its own..and it's NBD. The drops don't sting or hurt, just tickles as it drips sometimes. When I was a kid I would regularly have to have my ears irrigated to get the build up out which was so painful and traumatic. I would listen to your peds advice and use the drops to prevent build up later.

    DD's pediatrician mentioned that she has lots of ear wax, but he say to just leave it alone. Wonder if I should try these drops. Keep me posted on how it goes for you. TIA

    I picked out the biggest ball of wax hanging out just inside his ear. If I wasn't able to get it the first shot I was going to call and see if I could use that stuff you're all talking about! I was proud to get it though. I have a weird liking for getting boogers and ear wax and crust out of his creases. It's amazing he still likes me bc I bother him all the time.

    This is me too, I'm obsessed with all of these things, and cleaning the lint out of the head of his penis. I love the nose Frida way too much and get really excited when I see he has a booger in his nose. Glad I'm not alone :)


    I've never checked for lint on his penis!! He'd probably pee in my eye if I tried to get a close look at it!

    Oh yeah, I clean his ears, his nose, and the lint between his toes. I had NOT been cleaning his penis as carefully, apparently, because I went to the pedi in a panic that his circ was growing back together.

    It was not. 

    He just had some goo trapped by his penis skin. Disgusting. How did this OCD grooming mama bear miss THAT?

    A friend told me she had to pull back her son's penis after his circ so it wouldn't grow back. They never told me that so I made a joke about it to the nurse and she said yeah I had to! I never would've touched it otherwise. Now I only do it in the bath every other night just bc it seems squished. I don't scrub it or anything!

    This makes me so glad I had a girl! Makes me light headed just thinking about it! I had a hard enough time cleaning her belly button!

    @Rojovol34‌ I even asked DH about it before we went to the doctor, and he was like "I dunno what that is." Really, have you never looked at your own penis that closely? Not buyin it, dude!

    The nurse who helped me was so patient with me as she wiped away my sons smegma.... I felt like a dirty mommy.
