Re: ::: Friday good things :::

  • * It's been raining a lot, which is great news for my garden.

    * Our kitchen remodel is finished! It has been a long haul, and I am so thankful it turned out well.

    * We don't have any set plans this weekend other than painting the nursery and catching up on some house projects. I am looking forward to not having to go anywhere.

    * My DH sent a bunch of sweet texts while he was away on business this week. It's always nice to get a chance to miss him a little. :)

  • Loading the player...
  • Hooray for finished kitchen remodel! My good things:
    • We finally have hot weather in Wisconsin. Yesterday was 80! Today is in the 70's :)
    • I have less than one week until my 16w u/s. Hoping LO shows us the goods... looking forward to knowing the sex so I can start thinking about names!
    • Going out to dinner tonight with the hubby, just not sure where yet. Yay date nights!
    • DH left me a random "just because" love letter on the kitchen table when he left for work early this morning. I found it when I made myself a bowl of cereal. <3 He's a sweetheart!
    • I get to see my family tomorrow! My parents are back from a 2 week vacation in Hilton Head, and we're going to their house and my siblings will be there too. I love hanging with my fam, they're the bestest :)
That's it! I just realized I kind of have a lot of good things going on right now. Woohoo!

    • My husband got me a super cute maternity tank top that says "Mommy to be" for mother's day.
    • My in-laws are driving down here for once to go out to eat on Sunday.  So happy to not be in the car for 2 hours again this weekend.
    • My laptop is working for the moment so I am not mobile today!
    • We had BBQ catered for lunch today for Teacher Appreciation week.  We had pasta on Tuesday as well.  Yum!

@noonandj04 surprise notes are the best! what a sweet guy

@2redtulips what color are you painting your nursery? I think picking out paint colors is so tricky.

@classicstar28 that tank sounds like a perfect top for a future BFP, no?

    Some good things:

    It is Friday. Hallelujah!

We're having a BBQ at my in laws' on Sun. & it looks like it'll be warm enough to swim too.

I heard a ridiculous, pretty bad joke on the radio today. But I love bad jokes! Here it is:
What is green and has wheels?

Grass! I lied about the wheels! har har har :)

We're doing a forest theme, so we're painting it blue for the sky and green for the grass. We have tree and animal decals that we'll add in a few weeks once the paint has a chance to dry/set.

  • I got to take care of a patient who I knew from when we both worked at Starbucks years ago. She came in in labor with twins and had a cesarean section. It was a blessing to be able to care for her and I'm so happy I was able to get her babies to latch and get a great start at breastfeeding. :) I love when my patients are appreciative of my care. Makes me feel great!
