Pregnant after a Loss

some kid totally head butted my stomach

Dont make fun of me but I want to know if I should be concerned. Im 8 weeks and Im a pre k teacher and some kid ran up to be to hug me and totally head butted my stomach. I almost puked on him because it like knocked the wind out of me! Haha! Theres nothing to be concerned about right?
I fully admit im a nervous wreck this pregnancy. So thanks in advance for not making fun of me!!!

Re: some kid totally head butted my stomach

  • Shouldn't be anything to worry about. Your ute is still protected behind your pelvic bones. I can understand your worry though. Big (((hugs)))!!

  • I'm sorry that happened because it sounds like it hurt!  That said, I think baby and ute are still tucked behind your pelvic bone as PP said.  So it's unlikely the head-butt was even noticed down there.

  • At 8 weeks LO has lots of padding in there so I wouldn't be concerned :). I'm not a teacher, but I do quality assurance for daycares and have been smacked in the belly by a kid too. I imagine it must happen to STMs with toddlers quite often lol.

  • Hopefully baby is tucked behind that pelvic bone and there should be a nice little cushion. I work in the trauma unit and we get a lot of pregnant people with other injuries early on in pregnancy and I haven't seen a situation not turn out okay (think seat belt)! Sorry that it scared you!
