Postpartum Corset/Girdle?

Anyone used a postpartum corset/girdle with a previous pregnancy? Anyone planning on using one after the baby's born this time? I'm definitely leaning towards getting one and rocking it! I've read positive articles about them but wondered what other's experience have been.

I had one that was just a wrap with Velcro to be adjustable. It was kind of a pain to wear.
I'll try it again this time.

I am a FTM but I am planning on getting one. I have been looking at reviews for the Belly Band that you can get at Target but they seem to be hit and miss. I started looking on hourglassangel.com the other day and now I am considering getting one from there.

I plan on getting a Belly Bandit.  I know a few people who had great results with them.  I have read that people wear those girdles all the time do give you a flat stomach, but you gain back no core strength and not to wear them all day.  I plan to wear it for short periods.
  • Get the Cinch Wrap over the Belly Bandit! It's a bit more pricier but well worth it in the long run! Trust me. :) I'm using one this time around. I've had friends of all shapes and sizes and they have had great results with the Cinch Wrap.

For me I noticed that it helped with support more than anything.  All of my insides felt out of place and awkward after birth.  The wrap at least held everything kind of together.  If that makes sense.

I had a Belly Bandit and will use it again.  My stomach wasn't flat to begin with so I didn't expect miracles.  ;)  I do think it helped though, definitely with support post c/s.

  • I'll be using a Belly Bandit again. I guess my stomach was fairly flat before I got pregnant again. Mostly, I just liked that it held everything in place. All my insides and my back felt so out of place it was very painful. As long as I had my Belly Bandit on I felt fine.

  • I used a bellefit one. It was kind of pricey but I was happy with it.

  • I used one of those Velcro wrap bands. It was only about $5 at walmart. I wore it only in the house. I think it really helped. My stomach got pretty flat fast but there was still loose skin than tightened over time with exercise. I wouldn't bother too much with those expensive bands. The cheap ones to me are just as effective.
  • What is a good one that you can not see under clothes?

When are you supposed to start wearing the band? Did it cause back pain? I wonder if it's possible for my tummy to go back to its pre-pregnancy look but my pregnancy bum stays, what's the chance of that happening...LOL
