Hi ladies!
We are starting the hunt for day care and don't know where to start as we have no friends with any kids enrolled and we haven't moved out west from the city yet!
Any places that you love? I've already looked at Creme de la Creme, but am looking for other options that may be more budget friendly while still a great spot for my LO!

I am so excited I found this post. I actually live in Downers Grove and am looking to start some child care in my home. Currently, I work with kids ages 4months to 12 years, teaching swim lessons and developing curriculum. I have a firm belief that kids need a loving, nurturing, patient environment where they can grow confident, happy and thoughtful.
I nannied in college (Minneapolis grad) and have continued to work with kids in some capacity.
I'm offering flexible child care at my home in Dowers Grove and am available starting June 1, 2014.
My 9 year old step-daughter will be at home half the time; she and I have plans to learn about t westward expansion, the Oregon Trail, and what it took to make a home on the frontier. Because what is more fun that making your own butter!
All ages welcome; schedule and times available flexible. Cost negotiable based on number of children and number of hours needed. I'm really just looking to meet the income I had at my previous job so if I have more families interested, I would be able to charge less.
If you want to talk, you can email me (I think my email is on my profile) otherwise, I'll check back here to see if there's interest.
I hope you find the program/service that meets your needs!

lizzie, could you tell me what part of DG you are located?
DH & I will probably check out The Village Children's Academy in Westmont at Cass/Ogden because they're a little more budget friendly. https://www.villagechildrensacademy.com/
