house situation

I know I posted once on here about DH possibly finding another job and moving a few months ago, and a few times on the fb page-

Well it looks like we'll be in apartment living for another year. We just signed a lease to another apartment in our complex, and we move in 2 weeks. This is our 2nd time looking for a house, and again, we get discouraged, and can't find what we want. We're still going to save and hopefully next year buy our house. If any good has come out of it, it's that my husband got a raise, so I guess that's not too bad. We also want to start trying for #2...and we could potentially be in a 2 bedroom with 2 kids...are there any moms in that situation? I wasn't planning on raising little ones in an apartment...I just want to be reassured that everything will be fine and work out.

Looks at this way. Your in the apt for one year, towards the end of your new lease you will hopefully be in your forever home. Even if you get pregnant with #2 right away you would only have two littles in the apt for 3 months. So I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Even if it ends up being longer than that they will still be young and sharing a room won't cause problems.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one in this situation, @limabeanmom. I feel like I should start a blog or something with all of this stuff we're going through. Maybe even start blogging ways to space save in small homes/houses. lol

Our parents are over an hour, but we have a storage unit in our apartment for items. We haven't had a w/d in our apt, and neither will this one. It sucks but the w/d is only a few steps away. It was either have a w/d in the apt., but be up on the 3rd floor, or no w/d, and be on the 1st. We went with the 1st. I think the 3rd floor would be more of an inconvenience.

I hope you guys find a 3 bedroom that works out, @limabeanmom

We have a two bedroom home and it's been fine for us. Our living spaces are decently large so our bedrooms are pretty much only used for sleeping. DD is still in our bedroom (we have a crib in there) so it works well for us. She will move into DS's room sometime around 12-13 months when I wean her

We had to move into a 2 bedroom apt while our new house was getting built(only 3 months). There is my dh, me, my LO, my dog and my brother in law all crammed into our 2 bedroom. Our poor LO has his crib in the walkin closet. Hahaha we laugh about it now and it sucks at times but we move into our house in 2 weeks so we know this sleeping in a closet won't last forever!! Good luck in your house hunt and just think 1 yr should go by fast!
