Pregnant after a Loss

**Wednesday Ticker Change**

One more week down and that much closer to meeting our sweet LO's. I hope you're all doing well!

Just a reminder that this is a weekly check-in for those of us who start a new week of pregnancy today. If you're new, please feel free to jump in, give us your EDD, and welcome!

How far along are you?

How are you feeling? Symptoms?

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for?

GTKY: I can't think of anything at the moment, so (a little early) Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

  • How far along are you? 37 weeks, most people still consider this full term, so I'm going with it :)

How are you feeling? Symptoms? I feel mostly okay but getting very uncomfortable. I am having lots of swelling - it's already really hot here (has been in the mid to upper 80's all week) and I am chugging water but I am still puffing up like a balloon. I can't really wear any of my normal shoes (b/c of the swelling) so I am in sandals/flip flops and I work in an office where we are not supposed to wear them...but oh well. Also, LO hasn't dropped yet so I am having some pain right where my bra meets my ribs and that is pretty miserable. I keep telling myself just a few more weeks so suck it up.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? I have my regular weekly appt tomorrow, but I don't think anything special will happen there. I had my GBS swab done last week and they never called so I am assuming it was negative. I was checked last week also and 1cm dilated and I don't think they do another check until 38 or 39 weeks. So it's probably just a belly measurement and a doppler check for me.

GTKY: I can't think of anything at the moment, so (a little early) Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Happy Mother's Day to all of my Wednesday ladies! I hope that you are able to celebrate and do something special :)

**sorry for all the shouty capitals, I'm just SO EXCITED to see all these great updates :) **

How far along are you? 9 weeks!

How are you feeling? Symptoms?  Lots of the same - sore boobs, tired, and my m/s has picked up a bit.  I was going to ask the group a question - has anyone had the kind of m/s where you felt fine, and then ate something and then felt sick and threw it all up almost immediately?  This has happened to me twice.  I feel waves of nausea sometimes throughout the day but only lately have I thrown up.  Anyways, as always with PgAL brain, I just want to make sure it's normalish?

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? No :( which is exactly why I could use some T&Ps, please!  PgAL brain is in overdrive and I'm working overtime to keep it in check.  I keep reminding myself that no two pregnancies are the same and that until I have a reason to worry I shouldn't worry.  But as we all know that's easier said than done.  I am thinking about calling to ask my OBGYN if I can come in for a doppler check at 10 weeks (I know they still may not be able to find it at 10 weeks with the doppler but I'm anxious to get confirmation of a hb again).  My next appointment is Wednesday the 28th for the nt scan.

GTKY: I can't think of anything at the moment, so (a little early) Happy Mother's Day to all of you!  Happy Mothers Day, lovelies!!!! :-*  >:D<

@carlsonbaby2014‌ I am sorry the ms is so bad. I have not had that experience myself but I have heard many others who have the same issues. Its normal :)
PGAL brain is so hard but it can't hurt to ask the doc if you can come in, can they do an ultrasound instead of doppler? I have been trying my home doppler now (10 weeks) and I can't find anything which scares me but I know its early.
I think I just need to be patient.  I just got off the phone w/ them and they said they typically can't hear the hb with the doppler really successfully until about 12 weeks.  And since that's when my next u/s is scheduled they want me to just wait unless I have any bleeding or cramping.  *sigh*.  Oh well, I'm glad I asked.

You ladies will just have to help keep me a little grounded ok? Here's to hoping the next few weeks fly by!

  • @carlsonbaby2014‌ - I have been dealing with the same type of nausea with this pregnancy and my first pregnancy. Luckily I knew thus time around not eating/drinking wasn't an option. With my first pregnancy I didn't eat or drink anything for days. I realize now how bad that was to the pregnancy but didn't cause my baby to have issues it did. I understand that this type of nausea sucks! The only thing I have found to help is to take lowest dose of prescribed class A meds from the doctor. Others have told me to snack constantly through the day. While that works for them it didn't work for me. Good luck!

@RN536‌- I understand what you mean about feeling better. I still have the typical symptoms but they are as strong as they were a couple weeks ago. It really messes with the pgal brain! Huge hugs!

  • @anymax Yay for half baked!!! Good luck tomorrow!!
@carlsonbaby2014‌ I absolutely had a few times where I felt fine, ate, and then threw it all up. In fact when my m/s was really bad, I used to joke with DH everytime I felt ok enough to eat about whether it would stay down or not. I hope it starts going away for you soon.
@Pink021‌ woohoo for 3rd tri!! Sorry about the gd, though. :(

How far along are you? 17 weeks

How are you feeling? Symptoms? I'm doing ok. Feeling normal most of the time. Pgal brain is still being a jerk since at my appointment last week they gave me information about signs of preterm labor. I've had some discomfort and twinges since my belly is really expanding which was making me nervous despite knowing it's pretty normal. I am very glad that my Afp4 came back negative, though. One less thing to think about and worry over.

Any appointments coming up? Anything you need T&P for? A/s is scheduled for May 23!! Very excited for that. I'll get freaked out the closer it gets, but right now I'm just excited. I did find out at the dentist that my gums are not doing well. I had a mini breakdown yesterday worrying about it causing complications or hurting the baby. I know gum issues are pretty common, but it was pretty upsetting. I'm getting a deep cleaning next week.

Happy mother's day to all of you!!

  • Thanks, ladies, for the reassurance that it's normal.  So far it's been random and not frequent which is cool but I was on pins and needles the other night when we were at a friends house for dinner that I could avoid that.  Throwing up in someone else's bathroom?  No thanks.  [-X

  • hello! 40 weeks exactly here and still on induction via cervadil .... will start pitocin in the morning if contractions haven't gotten stronger enough on their own by then. Hoping for baby to come on out tomorrow!

I'm on a tiny mobile thing so can't @ each of you, but I just wanted to wish all of you lovely Wednesday mommas-to-be a very healthy and happy rest of your pregnancies! Even though PGAL brain is evil and often makes the days (especially early on in those long gaps between ultrasounds) drag on, I hope you'll all keep being able to celebrate milestones passed and then find yourself at 37, 38, 39, 40 weeks (or with your rainbow already in your arms) somehow!

So sorry for the complete P&R Wednesday! @whiteroses05‌ Yay welcome to second tri!! Cannot wait to hear how the appointments go. Hopefully the time passes quickly enough! @ksyknelvr73‌ Eeep! Full term!! I am sorry all the discomfort is setting in, hopefully you do not have to wait much longer! @carlsonbaby2014‌ You are so sweet! I am sorry PgAL brain is running wild. We will help you through these next couple weeks! (((hugs))) @RN536‌ Just remember, it is completely normal for symptoms to change. And it is entirely possible it is letting up as you approach second tri. T&P for fantastic MaterniT21 results! @Pink021‌ I am sorry the nausea had become vomiting. And so sorry about it being gestational diabetes. Hopefully the dietician will be able to help you manage things so that it is not an issue. @classicstar28‌ Baby is growing and needs more room, those are the good discomforts :) And wonderful news about the AFP4. Sorry about the crappy gums, hopefully the deep clean helps! @springbeduk2‌ So exciting!!!! I hope it is going well!!! ETA mobile, spacing looks like it is awful, sorry!
