Babies: 0 - 3 Months

What's the funniest story..

You have from childhood, either one you remember or one your parents told you.

Mine is one my Mother will never let me live down. I was about 2 or 3 years old and was shopping with my Mom and 2 older sisters for Easter shoes. I was a product of always receiving hand-me-downs and therefor didn't need a new pair. Well as they were trying theirs on I was screaming from the cart "New Shoes Mommy, me new shoes!". My parents had $0 at the time so a $5 pair of patten leather shoes we didn't need was a big deal. Well I kept going on and on "New Shoes Mommy, New Shoes!". My Mom felt bad after all the stares she got and finally gave in and got me the damn shoes.

Funniest part is to this day I am a shoes freak. I have so many it's really ridiculous!

Re: What's the funniest story..

  • Funny but not so funny. My mom was babysitting the lady down the streets kids. So it was her two boys one 6 and one 8 and my twin sister and I who were 4. Well she made dinner and all there was to drink was grapefruit juice. Well no one drank theirs but me and I drank mine and everyone elses. Then I went nutso. Tearing my clothes off and dancing around acting like an idiot. I even put a lamp shade on my head (there's a picture of me naked with the lamp shade on my head). When the lady got home she said the juice had vodka in it. I basically was drunk. My mom took me to the er but I was ok.

  • My parents make fun of me for a couple different church stories. One time it was really quiet in the room and the preacher and someone else was up there, and in a really loud voice I said "Mommy, which one is God?!" Everyone looked at me and they were kinda embarrassed.

Another time people were singing a hymn and I started singing the ABCs really loud and they asked me what I was doing, and I just said "I don't want to sing that song! I wanna sing my own song!" And I kept singing the ABCs loud so my parents had to take me out.

I know, not spectacular, but that's all I got! ;)

  • When I was 3 and my brother was 1 my mom bought a chocolate cake mix.  I kept asking her to make it but she kept telling me to wait until tomorrow.  I guess I got up really early and broght it into my bedroom (we had white carpet) and mixed it up in there.  I guess I had it all over the room from the carpet to the walls and I also tried to give my brother some.  We were both covered in it.  I remember the look on my mom's face as she came to see what we were up to.
  • My mom reminded me of this one just the other day...

I went to preschool at my church, as did my neighbor, so we carpooled.  Her family was very conservative, and mine was a little more, shall we say, open.  So one morning my mom was driving us, and she was half listening to our conversation when she heard me say something about a penis.  My friend said, "A penis? What is that?" to which I replied, "I'm not sure, but my daddy has a BIG one!"  My mom said she didn't know whether to be mortified or to howl laughing!! Smile

  • Mine was from when I was in HS. I had to make something for a bake sale and I was at the store getting the stuff for the peanut butter cookies with the hershey kiss on top. I looked all around for what I thought was a big chocolate chip. I couldn't find the big chocolate chips so I just got stuff to make brownies. I went home and told mom and she laughed at me so hard. Everytime she wants to embarass me, she brings up the story of how I couldn't find the big chocolate chips!
